1991 Camaro 3.1 Liter v6 no start. Please help!
I've replaced the things stated in the video, and also the air filter and fuel filter. There is spark, and there is fuel getting to the injectors. I don't know where to turn to besides taking at apart to get at the timing chain and stuff to make sure the timing marks are lined up. That's my last resort if I have to go that far. Also, the check engine light stays on when the key is on, but there weren't any codes the last time I checked. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you youtubers! Update!!! I just replaced the pick up assembly in the distributor.

the second part to the rebuild of the Camaro we are currently working on, this part shows more progression work on the engine and the bodywork of the car

1991 Camaro 3.1 Liter v6 Idle Problems
I finally got it running again after putting new spark plugs in it again, but it's idling like this now. It either does this, or it idles rough and makes the car shake. I've replaces the IAC valve, and the TPS. Also, when it idles kind of normally without bouncing back and fourth, the rps go up to about 4g's when I barely touch the gas. I know nothing is binding with the cable, and that made me change the TPS, even though there were no jumps in resistance when I tried to test it. The throttle also seems to stick even when I barely press it, and again, the cable isn't binding or anything, and the throttle body is clean. I've checked for vacuum leaks, and I haven't found any. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

1991 Camaro Build Video #1
I am making a series of build progress videos of my 1991 Chevy Camaro. This was an engine and transmission swap from a 3.1L V6 automatic to a 5.0L TPI V8 Manual. The dashboard was swapped to a firebird dash, and is being redone to house autometer gauges. What I am adjusting to change the idle speed is not the throttle blades, set screw, or IAC, it is the TPS sensor. The MAF sensor is thought to be busted, and all the engine has is TPS and RPM to determine fuel amount. Currently the TPS sensor bolt heads broke off and I got to fix it, for now its held on with tape so it frequently comes out of tune. The popping is backfiring because of a rich mixture, caused by the TPS sensor being out of adjustment.

Camaro 2.8 85' The pedal to the metal
Having fun before the winter.. New Exhaust on the car, straight pipes to the muffler in the back, no more leaks. The timing was adjusted by ear, might be too advanced.. oh well, Gotta loves them 80's

Megasquirted 3.1L V6 on stand part 2 of 2
Part 2 of the Megasquirted V6 on the engine stand. The engine starts...runs, rev's freely, sounds great Screen shots of Megasquirt while the engine is running and more tidbits of the test stand. The operational similarities to FIS6 are quite surprising.

1985 Camaro Start to Finish
This video chronicles the transformation to my wife's first car, a 1985 Camaro. She bought the car in 1995 and when we first met she was driving it. We decided to sell it to my brother a few years after we got married. During the summer of 2008, I reacquired the car and secretly brought it back to its original glory.
