Talking Cars with Consumer Reports #42: Tesla Model S Problems
Sure, the electric Tesla Model S is the top-scoring car in Consumer Reports ratings, and their owners love them. But over 15,000 miles of driving, the Model S we bought has had more than a few problems. We talk about those issues, public reaction, and what it all means. Next we discuss another electric car, the BMW i3. It's unlike any BMW you've ever seen. Bringing things back to more "normal" cars, we introduce our 2015 Subaru Outback test car. Subaru's been listening, because they fixed a lot of the shortcomings in previous Outbacks. Finally, we answer whether a first-time new car buyer should get an Outback and plan ahead for kids.

Tesla Model S VS Bmw M5 2013
I made this video, of 2 great cars, by editing other clips on YT. The winner for me is the Model S, for reasons beyond the ones you guys can see (it's a green car, doesn't need 100€ to fill up, etc...) I think the M5 is better on track, 3 sec or more, at least. But a company founded in 1917 (BMW) should have an huge advantage, when compared to one founded in 2003 (Tesla) Only made this video thxs to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU9qYfXltqE and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAnd21b81Tc Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkQ5rEJaTmk

2014 Tesla Model S vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz S550! - Head 2 Head Ep. 54
On this episode of Head 2 Head, the newest luxury heavyweight takes on the reigning champ. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has ruled the luxury roost since it created the segment decades ago. However, Elon Musk's revolutionary Tesla Model S has single handedly disrupted the established luxury paradigm and has recently outsold the mighty S-Class. What's most amazing is that the Model S doesn't use a drop of gas. The S-Class does, but it rewrites the luxury car playbook in other ways. So which $125K big lux whip is best? Watch and find out! TESLA MODEL S SIGNATURE PERFORMANCE - HIGH SPEED PERFORMANCE !!!
http://www.epinions.com/review/2013_Tesla_Model_S_epi/content_603226738308? alert_type=0&comments=1&submit=Submit THIS IS the edited version of my TESLA MODEL S video review. The car was fully charged and speed limited to 80MPH. Hopefully, you'll be able to set a speed limit so you don't find yourself busted by the PO PO. The base model offers around 150 miles of range on a 10 hour charge while the performance models will offer 300 miles. Right now it offers heated seats, but, cooled/heated seats aren't an option yet. A $1500 panoramic roof is an option. I'd like to see a $40,000 model with a 100 mile range and supercharging access. PROS The Tesla is very heavy but due to the early torque, it accelerates faster than even a supercharged SRT8. That's how it killed the BMW M5. The platform is stiff. You feel almost no body roll at all and it is extremely planted. The steering is light and will adopt to the casual driver very well. Very, very spacious. You can have jump seats put in the rear with the kids facing out the back window for a total of 7 passengers. There are essentially 2 trunks in this car because there is no engine or battery compartment on the cabin level. It's all in the platform - BRILLIANT! CONS The car has a bit of wind noise/ road noise. The electric motor is near silent, so you notice the noise from outside more than usual. I'd have liked to see some type of next generation shifter to make the car feel more like a "spaceship". A shifter like the mono-static shifters in the new BMW would be cool. They got this shifter from the Mercedes Benz parts bin (as well as the steering wheel). I personally don't know if I could see myself buying the new SRT8 when the Tesla exists. I'm not sure what it's long term maintenance is, but what I do know is with an SRt8 you are spending around $4.30 for a gallon of Premium and only getting 14 mpg or less in the City. The interior is roughly the same grade as a Chrysler/Ford/ GM product. Adding a massive touchscreen doesn't cause you to overlook that. With the tax credit, this car will cost you less than the SRT8, Lincoln MKS, Mercedes E-class, BMW 5/M5, Cadillac XTS and Genesis R-spec. The Tesla OUTPERFORMS THEM ALL. The feature adjustment is over $4,000 when comparing the Model S to an Audi because many features commonly offered on luxury cars aren't available on the Tesla. On the performance front, you cannot get all-wheel-drive, at least not yet. This plus the lack of a geared transmission account for half of the difference. But this still leaves a couple grand. Features offered on the Audi but not the Tesla include cooled front seats, automatic climate control for the rear seats, adaptive cruise control, and a slew of safety nannies. Though you can get a rearview camera on the Tesla, you can't get obstacle detection. The feature some people will miss most: illumination for the visor mirrors. Other missing features would benefit efficiency. Unlike in a Prius, Tesla drivers must do without detailed driving style feedback or a way to vary the sensitivity of the accelerator. (A highly responsive accelerator can make a car seem quicker, while a highly unresponsive one makes it easier to maximize efficiency.) Perhaps future software updates will provide one or both features.

2014 Tesla Model S Performance (416hp) - 0-180 km/h acceleration (1080p)
Amazing autobahn acceleration test with the super innovative TESLA Model S as the range topping P85 Performance Model featuring 416 hp and 600 Nm from an all-electric drivetrain. I honestly have to say, that I have NOT driven anything like this before. The power is so instant that it takes your breath. No other car in the world can deliver such performance and instant pull without spinning the rear-wheel tires. Yes, accelleraction feels like you were driving an all-wheel-drive car that weighs nothing;-) Besides that amazing punch, the rest of the car is just as good and driving around in town is a sheer pleasure. I don't really know if the video can transport this astonishment, but I am definately looking forward to your LIKES and COMMENTS. 2013 Tesla Model S P85 vs Audi S8 Mile High 0-60 Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Tesla Model S is a game changer in the world of cars. Not only is it completely electric but it can go up to 300 Miles on a complete charge. The 2013 Tesla Model is also luxurious, elegant, stylish and expensive. The 2013 Audi S8 is all of those things and more. It is more luxurious, more powerful and perhaps even faster. We decided to find out in another fun and informative mile high 0-60 MPH Mashup review. The Audi has more HP and torque but at a mile above sea level the equation tends to level out as the Tesla Model S is not effected by the lower air density. So which one is faster to 60 MPH.
