1914 aircooled VW engine built by Dave Gilchrist of Vintage German Motors in Orem, UT. The engine is installed in a 1963 Karmann Ghia Convertible undergoing restoration by Slipshod Resto's.

1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Engine Start
First time starting up the 2333 cc engine (91x84mm) that I installed in my wife's freshly restored 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia convertible. Yes, I know my coil is installed upside-down. The after-market wire harness was installed with too little slack to reach a downward-pointing coil. This is temporary.
Kansas City to Daytona FL and back in a VW Karmann Ghia
2600 miles behind the wheel of my favorite Volkswagen. The detination was the Youtube Garage Gang Extravaganza in Daytona Florida. I was fortunate to meet and hang out with a lot of incredible Youtube Users in person.
