OUTLAW DERBY CAR LEAF SPRING SWAP
Leaf spring conversion in half a day. Modified leaf springs from S10 Blazer. Added 3 leafs. U-bolts from newer F-150. Reaf axle from 72 Deville. Used once in said Deville with stock Blazer springs. Ran once because car was banned. Ran latter with coils. I still have to box rear frame rails. And add 1/2 angle for "crossmember" . Only rule is no homemade bumpers. But I don't see anything about "crossmembers"
1971 Pontiac Ventura II w/400 Pontiac engine making 430+ HP 11 seconds...
1971 Ventura II, Pontiac 400, TH350 w/Redneck 3500 converter, Ford 9" with two third members 3.70 trac-loc and 4.30 full spool. Engine .030 1971 Pontiac 400, oem 6.625" rods, oem "N" crank turned .010/.010, Comp Cams XE284H cam w/Crower cam saver lifters, and 1.60 Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rockers. 1968 #16 heads, milled .035 to get 71cc chambers 2.11/1.77 valves. I ported the heads flowing 240+ cfm. Pro-Form 850 double pumper on a ported Torker II intake. Heads and Intake matched to the RA4 gaskets size fully blended. Ancient "ICE" brand Nitrous kit from the early 1980's, later bought out by Barry Grant re-named Nitrous Works plate kit.
