Automotive Audio System pt.2/2 (2005 Buick Century)
It's now 2011 & I just got around to installing aftermarket audio
components to our 6 year old (2005) Buick Century.
Though there was no issue with the factory system, I decided to finally
swap things out anyway.
I added a Clarion head unit, (2) Bass Inferno 6X9's. (2) 15" Cerwin Vega
Subs & (1) 3000 watt Quantum Audio amplifier.
Other than the small remote wire & the speaker wire used to bridge the
sub-box itself, all 4 gauge cables were used.
I did however run my wiring on the wrongs sides, Which turned the amp
upside down and will be eventually corrected for a clean finish. This
won't be done until I am satisfied with the sound dynamics. There are
still more interior speakers to be installed, which is also why my head
unit is not yet mounted.
I recently had an issue with some cheap wiring used for ground within the
trunk that melted, so it was replace just before this footage was filmed.
Being that I was not too hot (physically) and/or frustrated, i decided to
record the aftermath.

'66 Buick Back From The Dead! - HOT ROD Unlimited Episode 5
On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, we raise a '66 Buick from the dead.
After spending 33 years sitting outside in the desert, the broken down
Buick Special is revived by David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of HOT ROD
and Rick Pewe of 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine.
Rick's mother bought the car when it was near new and parked it when the
transmission failed in 1978. In 2011, the guys spent two and a half days
wrenching on the car, with the hopes of driving it home from Phoenix to Los
Angeles. Come along for the ride and see what happens!

1966 Buick Convertible Barn Find Rescue, Part 1
This is the story of a '66 Buick Special convertible that had been
abandoned in Arizona in 1978 by the family of Rick Pewe, editor of 4-Wheel
& Off-Road magazine. In 2011, the guys from HOT ROD Magazine, in
conjunction with Rick, spent four days bringing the car back from the dead
with plans to drive it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. This is part 1,
with the hacking fun the guys had rescuing the car. Look for part two,
loaded with road-trip hilarity. The story is printed in the September 2011
issue of HOT ROD Magazine.
