Onboard in the Leo Voyazides / Simon Hadfield shared Ford Cortina Lotus at the 2012 Silverstone Classic Alan Mann Trophy for U2TC (Under 2 Liters Touring Cars).
This is the final charge for 2nd place by Simon Hadfield.

HRDC TC63 mk1 Cortina GT racing vs mk2 jags and Warwick GT
The Inaugural HRDC TC63 race at Snetterton, for Appendix J series production touring cars from 1960-1963. If this race is anything to go by the series should take off beautifully next season . . . . watch this space. WE can't wait.
a broken alternator pulley spoilt our race, a podium was on the cards we reckon. For those unawares, the lead yellow car is a Warwick GT ( Peerless with a Buick V8) and behind us where Mercedes, Alfa's, Ovlov, Anglia and other family favourites, next season promises a fleet of minis, Anglias and even a Studebaker. Ding dong, bring it on!
World's Greatest Drag Race 2!
It's back! The World's Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world's best supercars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012 facing off in an epic quarter-mile sprint for glory... and ultimate bragging rights! This year's field includes all nine contenders from Motor Trend's 2012 Best Driver's Car competition. We have the Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition, Ford Shelby GT500, McLaren MP4-12C, Jaguar XKR-S, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Subaru BRZ, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -- all gathered together on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. Obviously these nine competitors display a wide range of power and performance, not to mention price tags. So why are we lining them all up again for one gigantic, over-the-top drag race? It's simple... Because We Can!

Ford Cortina MK1 Donegal Diamond by Classic Cortina Car Club New Zealand
The Classic Cortina Car Club http://www.classiccortina.co.nz started in the mid 1980's with a small group of Ford Cortina enthusiasts in Christchurch.
The Club wanted to promote, Lotus, 1600E, GT, GTE in the MK1 and MK2 only as they were seen as the more desirable car to collect.
As time went on and the Classic Cortina Car Club name became a regular feature at the car shows in Canterbury and other places around the country. The membership slowly grew in numbers and the Club eventually included MK3, MK4 and MK5 models.
Now it is 2012 and there has been a small band of Club members, who over the years have steered the Classic Cortina Club into the role of helping members and non-members with their restoration projects, the sale of their Cortina, or just a friendly chat about a particular model they may have owned in the past.
Club members meet on the first Tuesday of every month and non-members are welcome to visit. we endeavor to keep the Event Calendar up to date on all upcoming club events and shows, grass gymkhanas and barbeques that happen through out the year, any excuse to take your Cortina out for a drive seems to appeal to most members.
