Porsche 914 Restoration Pictorial
1972 Porsche 914 1.7L Restoration Log .Upgrades include fiberglass GT
flares from Pelican Parts, Simmons Wheels 7 and 8" converted to five lug
with redrilled rear hubs and adapters in front. Lightened wherever
possible. 3/32" steel for the new longs and floors. Paint is Gasser Green
from Eastwood. I got many body parts from the swap meet at Hershey making
my rust rustoration a bit easier. The doors, hood and bumpers. Also used a
different transmission from a 72 914 that was a little better looking. I
converted the gas tank to a top suction so there is less chance of leaks
and fire. It took about a year and was done for less than $3k including the
wheels and all supplies.
