First (public) Start-up of Supercharged RB30 - S15.3 EDC Drift Car
Nissan S15.3 drift car built for the EDC by James Jeffery and David Reid of Performance Parts and Services Ltd in the UK.
Fitted with an RB30, forged rods, forged pistons, flowed and ported RB26 head, Tomei MHG, Tomei pullies. Blown by a Kenne Bell 2.8H twin screw charger. Twin 044's feeding 1000cc Sard injectors. Custom charger inlets and outlets, custom Exhaust manifold, modified plenum blah, blah, blah...basically lots of work !
Not 100% finished yet though as can be seen in the movie.

RB30 twincharge - street test @ 300rwhp
First drive of my RB30DETR on the street. Running 9psi, making 303rwhp.

the car has a 3L DOHC inline six, a GT4088 turbocharger (1.34 A/R rear housing) and an Eaton
M90 Supercharger. the piece of junk Boost guage i have there is reading
incorrectly, it's on 9psi the whole way. the loud roaring noise indicates
when full Boost is reached. it even
makes full Boost in 1st gear :-)
the engine resides in a VL commodore but i am considering transferring the
whole drivetrain into something lighter like an S13 silvia or 180SX down
stay tuned for more vids when i put a stronger gearbox in it and up the Boost. 450rwhp sounds like a good
number to aim for with the stock cams.
Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between
Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the
components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the
speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this
video helps some of you curious up and coming mechanics to better
understand methods of forced induction. Please comment maturely, and
50psi boost 1200+hp Nissan RB30 - Ethanol E98
Nissan RB30 SOHC 3L engine built and tuned by JPC making over 1200hp on
Ethanol fuel. The engine still retains a factory block and crank.
Improvements come from a custom JPC turbocharger, manifolding, roller rockers and cam
gear. Fuel is fed via ID2000cc injectors and an Autronic computer system.
This engine has previously run 8.79 at 160.25mph (with less power) in a
full weight (3250lb) Holden VL commodore through stock suspension,
Powerglide transmission, 9in rear end and 28x9in slicks.
