You guys must have seen Top Gear drag races between Mclaren F1 & Bugatti Veyron and Mclaren SLR 722 against Lambourghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV. Apart from the reason that Mclaren is always driven by the professional racing driver, have a look at the video. Lamborghini Reventón Roadster Commercial
The Lamborghini Reventón (Spanish pronunciation: [Reben'ton]) is a mid-engine sports car that debuted at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini road car to date, costing one million euros (~US$1.25 million, or ~£840,000). The official press release stated that only 20 vehicles would be released to the public,with one additional car (marked as 0/20) produced for the Lamborghini Museum.Although early rumors indicated the total number would actually be 100, each Reventón is clearly stamped with its number in the sequence of 20 between the driver's and passenger's seats. Despite the exterior being new,almost all the mechanical elements (including the engine) are sourced directly from the Murciélago LP640. According to the official press release, the Reventón exterior styling was inspired by the "the fastest airplanes". To emphasize this, Lamborghini staged a race between a Reventón and a Panavia Tornado fighter plane.

McLaren F1 vs Bugatti Veyron vs Veyron SuperSport acceleration from 325kmh
A comparison of top end acceleration between the McLaren XP5 and the Bugatti Veyron and supersport used by autocar. Despite having only 620hp, the Macca keeps up reasonably well with both Veyrons, and the 1200hp supersport's topend acceleration is not much faster than the 1000hp base Veyron's. (IGNORE THE Veyron Supersport Speed:270kmh at the end. My analysis software ran a bug) Note: Both Veyrons have been on ehra lessein like the Mclaren. But in both cases, they engaged TOPSPEED MODE. This increases the topend acceleration incredibly (look at their GPSes on the topgear vids). However since TOPSPEED MODE isnt practical on the road (due to no braking, turning and completely stopping before activation), handling mode is used in this comparison. It is interesting to note that despite having over 1000hp++, more than 350+ than the mclaren , the Veyron's (even the SS) aerodynamics are so poor, it relies on topspeed mode as a crutch and cant even pull ahead of the mclaren f1 topend otherwise.
