1997 Honda Prelude Detailed Review
Ginny Buckley reviews a car for people that wanna have fun - the 1997 model
Honda Prelude. She'll be overviewing it's performance and handling, as well
as seeing how practical it is. The '97 Prelude comes with a 2.2 litre
V-Tech engine, which produces 185bhp. Plus we'll be speaking to Stephen
Hollings from Honda UK, who'll be telling us more about the Prelude and
what they hope to achieve with this, the 5th generation model.
Honda Prelude Stock 0-60
This is my first official test of my completely, 100% Stock 1997 Honda
Prelude (Base). I was 16 years old when I took the video, and this was my
first car and m/t I have ever had. When I took the video, and used a
"Canon PowerShot SD890 IS" digital camera. I had recently just had it
fully serviced with new timing belts, water pump, and valve timing done by
an ex Honda pit crew mechanic. No laws were broken in the video =). I
only had the car for one month after taking this video, and therefore you
can see that i couldn't shift very well, sorry about that. Thanks for

ONLY ADJUST VALVES WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD, or less than 100 degrees
Fahrenheit or (38 degrees Celsius) .
Intake: 0.15 - 0.19 mm (0.006 - 0.007 in)
Exhaust: 0.17 - 0.21 mm (0.007 -0.008
Valve Cover torque specs: 8.7 lbf-ft
Ignition wire cover: 7.2 lbf-ft
Alternator Terminal: 6 lbf-ft
After adjusting the valves torque down the crankshaft pulley bolt to 245
N-m (181 lbf-ft)

En este nuevo video mejoro notablemente la aceleración 0-100 de mi Prelude
con respecto a otro video que subí, y en el que se tardó aproximadamente
7,4s en realizar dicha medición.
En esta ocasión iba sin acompañante y con el depósito de combustible a
1/2 de su capacidad total,aprox.
Prueba realizada en ligerísima subida (la zona donde está hecha la prueba
no es completamente llana), con gasolina de 95.
El coche está completamente de serie.
