Samsung Galaxy Note and sketching on S Memo
A quick video showing how you can sketch on the galaxy note in the supplied app called the S memo. The S memo is meant to work with the supplied pen, which works perfectly fine but I like to use a larger pen. The best part about the note is the screen and pen have wacom technology meaning it is the same tech found on tablet pc's so any wacom pen enabled pen will work on your galaxy note. So if you rather have a pen that feels more like a pen, both size and weight then use a tablet pc based pen. Please do not confuse those pens for ones that work on cintiqs or intuos as the tech is a bit different. With that being said the note supports a variety of pressure. It varies depending how hard you press. When using a pen enabled pen you can use the eraser by flipping the pen which comes in handy. The tiny pen that comes with the note does not have an eraser so a bit reason why I rather not use it as much. Easier to transition back and forth from tablet pc to note when you can use the same mannerisms and techniques to create the same desired result. There is slight lag here and there that happens, nothing that is that bothersome that you could not use the app. I see the lag show up the most when using the eraser but not a big deal. Sketching I have yet to really have an issue. Being that my hands were cold the zooming in and out appears to be laggy but that is not the case. The zooming in is actually quite smooth when your hands are warm or at least decent temp. I am a cold person so I struggle at times with capacitive touch ;) that is just my own problem :P. I will do a full review with sketchbook pro when ICS comes out. I cannot download sketchbook pro which is the one that supports pressure until ICS is released. So for the moment I will tinker with the s memo which is fantastic for on the go sketching. All in all the note is impressive. Tries to be a tablet and phone at once which it does well. I like it as a tiny tablet in my purse that I can sketch on. Plus having Wacom tech makes this device amazing for the mobile artists out there. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Let's Draw Nick Wilde from Zootopia Step by Step Tutorial on the Ipad Pro" → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw2N9nVRPvI -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
