Review: 2006 Cadillac XLR-V

Go to MYRIDE.COM for more car videos. 5 years ago a six-figure Cadillac would've been a cruel punchline, but take the exclusive style of the XLR, give it the V-series performance treatment, and presto--you've got a $100,000 car.

Review: 2007 FJ Cruiser
Go to MYRIDE.COM for more car videos. This FJ Cruiser is a rock-solid vehicle made for the adventurer and it's a welcome addition to a not-so-exciting SUV lineup from Toyota. If rising gas prices don't squash consumer interest in this SUV, I predict you'll find this well-priced vehicle (it starts at $22,315) in high demand at your local Toyota dealership.

Review: 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid
Go to MYRIDE.COM for more car videos. For 2006, Honda makes it easier being green. The Honda Civic Hybrid is completely redesigned with daring new styling, a more powerful and fuel-efficient powertrain, added interior space, and a bigger trunk.

Review: 2007 Dodge Caliber
Go to MYRIDE.COM for more car videos. The 2007 Dodge Caliber's got the goods to attract buyers who had previously written off the idea of driving a compact car. And if there's a performance deficit - even in the sporty Caliber R/T model we drove - the rumored Caliber SRT-4 model should prove just the remedy for the acceleration and handling blues.

Review: 2006 Honda Accord
Go to MYRIDE.COM for more car videos. After a couple hundred miles behind the wheel, I think the 2006 Honda Accord EX-L V6 six-speed is the ultimate modern interpretation of a "sleeper." It's got a powerful engine and is blessed with decent handling, but nobody gives it a second glance thanks to anonymous styling.

2009 Cadillac XLR-V Supercharged Start Up, Exhaust, Short Drive, and In Depth Tour
Pardon the voiceovers, had to fix some scenes that got destroyed by wind. The day I filmed this car was one of the worst I've been through in a while, thanks! In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2009 Cadillac XLR-V. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

134296 / 1970 Cadillac DeVille
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/qghjtdo Mixing one of the biggest and smoothest V8s GM ever produced with mirror-like paint and a spacious, comfortable interior, this classy DeVille puts a new twist on 'Standard of The World'. And if you've always dreamed of owning a big American cruiser that's high on style and loaded with comfort, it's just the opportunity you've been waiting for! Not completely devoid of character, like so many traditional, frame-off restorations, this road-ready drop-top is an exhilarating combination of factory-correct blitz and tasteful glam. Appearing both solemn and official, its Jet Black paint reflects an excellent shine that literally glows when crouching under the sun. And that modern two-stage covers what appears to be clean, mostly original sheetmetal which displays no sign of botched repairs or historic damage. Cadillac, once the world's leading proprietor of fine, 16-cylinder motor coaches, knows a thing or two about performance. For example, this convertible's correct, 472 cubic inch monster block, which is one of the largest V8s ever produced, turns stout 10 to 1 compression into a smooth 375 horsepower. And while GM Powertrain did provide engines that generated more power, this mill was designed to idle silently, create instantaneous thrust and emit merely a whisper from its tailpipe. Judging by the appearance of the car's satin black bay, it's been on a regular maintenance schedule, benefitting from periodic, full-scale detailing. Many of the motor's original ancillary items have been replaced by flashier hardware including: a chrome, single-snorkel air cleaner, chrome valve covers, a polished radiator overflow and an HEI distributor that's complete with 8mm Hi Temp wires. And thanks to two Optima gel cell batteries, the car fires so smoothly you may not even notice it's running. Behind that big engine, an original turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed spins a traditional GM 12-bolt that's complete with smooth 2.98 gears. Speaking of smooth, the car's long and low suspension, which is augmented with Air Ride Technologies air bags, glides over almost any imperfection with virtually no drama. And all that proven hardware rolls on slick Centerline Smoothies which spin 245/40R20 Firestone Firehawks around detailed Cadillac crests. If you're a fan of big time comfort, you'll be absolutely thrilled by this DeVille's custom black interior! The '63 Cadillac front and chopped rear seats are firm, supple and display virtually no signs of aging. In front of those half power, half manual seats, a modernist, crack-free dash hangs a contoured instrument panel between a billet mirror, a modern Pioneer CD player, controls for the car's Air Ride Technologies suspension and chrome-trimmed foot pedals. In front of the driver, a custom '59 Cadillac steering wheel spins a chrome horn ring around a tilting column and simple chrome gear selector. And behind the passengers, a Dynamat-lined trunk seals a giant subwoofer behind a Pioneer CD changer, two JL Audio amps, a small bass tube, a fifth Centerline/Firestone combo and a small, South County Customs jack. This DeVille is an extremely high-quality cruiser with no question marks attached. Don't miss your opportunity to own one of the coolest Caddys on the planet! Some other great assets in your new XLR-V are: dual climate control, tire pressure monitor system, power locks, power windows, cruise control, V-series trim, universal garage door transmitter, and cup holders. You will definitely enjoy paying thousands of dollars less on this car which is still in fantastic condition. Congratulations on making such a wise decision to own a car included in a long legacy of fantastic cars with your new Cadillac XLR-V.

Cadillac XLR & XLR-V Fusion Exhaust by Billy Boat Performance Exhaust
Call to Order (888) 228-7435 or Order Online - http://www.bbExhaust.com/car/corvette/fusion/ (XLR page coming in April/May '13) The luxury of a Cadillac, the performance of a Corvette and accurately described by Harvey Schwartz on LACar.com as "A Corvette in Cadillac Clothes". Obviously, the XLR has settled into its own distinct niche (see forums like xlr-net.com, where our Billy Boat XLR Fusion system is very well spoken of--and this among the car's real enthusiasts). Equipped with either the SC 4.4L (XLR-V) or the 4.6L (XLR) DOHC 32-Valve Northstar V8 alum-alloy block & heads w VVT, the XLR exemplifies a hard-charging, performance-bred, front-engine, transaxle-transferred, RWD rowdy roadster. It's got swagger, style and stunning good looks. It's like the Great Gatsby of Cadillacs. It's so "have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too" American that the "Hemingway of High-Performance Highway Horses" (Billy Boat) immediately identified with it. It's a car for those who like to work hard for their luxury. And we've developed a high-performance, hand-fabricated, stainless-steel Exhaust system that fits your XLR like a glove. We've already perfected the FUSION Exhaust on all NPP (and have kits for non-NPP vehicles) cars with our bi-modal Exhaust systems. Seriously, Google it. We strive to maintain the best group of distributors and dealers all over the world. You can call to order directly from us, or to clarify any questions you have about our XLR system by using our toll-free number (888) 228-7435. As an acclaimed U.S. manufacturer of performance Exhaust systems for Corvettes, it was second-nature for Billy Boat to embrace an Exhaust mod for the LS6-inspired XLR Exhaust system. The XLR is based on the Corvette's Y Platform, the XLR blazed onto the scene in 2004, immediately nominated for North American Car of the Year. B&B has an Exhaust to fit your 2004-2009 Cadillac XLR. The Billy Boat Fusion is a bi-modal Exhaust system, meaning it has two passages, or modes, that the Exhaust can travel through the muffler. Each of the mufflers has two outlets, with one side having a butterfly-type valve which allows the Exhaust flow to be shut off, regulating which side of the muffler the Exhaust flows out of. One side of the muffler is the "quiet" side, and one side is the "loud" side. The "quiet" side is a smaller, muffled and chambered tube, while the "loud" side is 3" tubing straight through.
