early cars were the roadsters, exciting and attractive roofless toys that
tore up the European roads and racetracks.
We explore the earliest roadsters from BMW, from the 315/1 and 319/1 to the
amazing 328 and look at the post war beauty that was the 507 as well as

2007 BMW Z4 M Roadster Start Up, Exterior/ Interior Review
This is actually a review I filmed around the turn of last year, but never
uploaded. Guess its better late than never.
In this review, we get an up close and personal encounter with the 2007 BMW
Z4 M Roadster, in Black Sapphire Metallic, accented with the Light Sepang
Bronze Extended leather interior. This vehicle was kindly provided to me,
courtesy of our good friends at DFW Audi in Euless, TX (www.dfwaudi.com)
for me to review. This review is designed to provide accurate vehicle
information to both enthusiasts and potential consumers alike.
Richard Hammond Reviews the 2000 BMW M-Coupe
Richard Hammond reviews the 2000 model BMW M-Coupe, to see if all the hard
work the BMW mechanics put in, to reinvigorate the roadster market, has
paid off. He takes it on a road test to check out it's performance and
handling, as well as seeing how practical it is.
► New BMW Concept Roadster
The BMW Concept Roadster is a typical BMW roadster with a powerful
2-cylinder boxer engine, single-sided swing arm with cardan drive and a
light tubular space frame. It interprets these classic elements in the most
state-of-the-art, dynamic form.
The BMW boxer engine has always promised impressive performance and supreme
power delivery across the entire engine speed range. In its latest
generation it generates 92 kW (125 bhp) at 7,750 rpm from 1,170 cc with a
maximum torque of 125 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is also visually
mid-point of the BMW Concept Roadster. The compact proportions with low
front and high rear form a wedge-shaped silhouette around it which
accelerates the bike even when stationary. The crouching posture with a
powerful focus on the front wheel and the very short rear promise agile,
light-footed handling. Split colouring makes for a visual separation of the
dark engine area below and the light seating area above with the fuel tank
and rear section. The dark bottom section moves the BMW Concept Roadster
visually closer to the road surface, thereby emphasising a road-oriented
riding experience. Meanwhile the lighter coloured upper section conveys
lightness and a low visual centre of gravity.
The headlamp presents a modern, dynamic interpretation of the classic
circular headlamp. Matted LED light banks in full LED technology shape the
distinctive "face" of the BMW Concept Roadster, giving it an extremely
technical look. What is more, the LED technology makes the headlamp mask
flat and very light-looking from the side perspective. Behind it, a reduced
instrument panel provides all the relevant information in exclusive,

BMW Intelligent Headlight Technology
First introduced on the new BMW 7 Series (July 2012) as part of the
optional Adaptive LED Headlights, this functionality is now also supported
with Xenon headlights on all new BMW 3 Series Saloon and Touring models
specified with a Visibility package.
BMW Adaptive Headlights are combined with BMW High-beam Assistant
technology to provide an intelligent headlight system that optimises the
illumination of the road ahead without glaring on-coming traffic and other
road users. This ensures improved visibility and safety during night time
and poor weather driving conditions.
