1973 Pontiac Grand Ville convertible, 455 cui V8. Bought in Sandusky, Ohio in 2005 and imported to Sweden. Currently in Denmark where we live.
1975 Grandville 455 Dyno run at Street Machine Nationals
Bar-B-Cruise member Greg's 1975 Pontiac Grandville convertible. The motor is a Pontiac 455 bored .030 over with edelbock aluminum heads, eldelbrock intake, Dougs headers, Holley 800.
the Dyno operater is driving the car and ran it up to 145mph before stopping due to the tires.
Tires were not speed rated that high, but the motor had more in it.

A HUGE PONTIAC ON A 126 INCH WHEELBASE OFFERED 3 GRAND VILLE BODY STYLES THIS YEAR AND A FIRST WITH A CONVERTIBLE. THESE HEAVY CARS WERE POWERED WITH A 455 CID V-8 ENGINE THAT PRODUCED 185 HORSES. PERFORMANCE WAS STILL THE NAME OF THE GAME WITH ALL PONTIAC MODELS. GRAND VILLE'S ALSO OFFERED A 220 HORSE AS AN OPTION. IMPACT ABSORBING BUMPERS WERE STANDARD ANTICIPATING FEDERAL MANDATED SAFETY REGULATIONS. GRAND VILLE MODELS COULD BE ORDERED WITH CLOTH / VINYL OR FULL VINYL INTERIORS AND AN ARRAY OF OPTIONS THAT MOST BUYERS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF. THIS PONTIAC CONVERTIBLE IS A BEAUTIFUL MACHINE IN ORGINAL CONDITION. THE DARK GREEN METALLIC PAINT IS ACCENTED WITH GOLD PINSTRIPE AND SADDLE TAN VINYL INTERIOR. THE GRILLE IS BONNEVILLE SIMLIAR AND HAD NEW SLOTTED TAILIGHTS. THIS IS TRULY A LARGE VEHICLE WITH ABUNDANT SHEET METAL AND DESIGN PIZZAZ. ( I ALMOST BOUGHT A PONTIAC GRAND VILLE RAGTOP MYSELF IN 1974 ). A WONDERFUL ORIGINAL SURVIVOR RARE CAR THIS IS, AND WOULD BE GREAT TO " TOOL AROUND " IN. Here's a video of my 69 lemans with rebuilt 455 bored .040 over (464), speed pro pistons, edelbrock rpm camshaft, 6x-8 heads ported, comp cams rollertip rockers, edelbrock valve springs, procomp intake, 750cfm edelbrock carb, and flowtech headders. This combo makes great power and I love the torque this monster makes. Next upgrade will be edelbrock aluminum heads to really wake this beast up!
