Nick Grace bought the 2 seat Spitfire in 1979 in a dismantled state and after 5 years of work took off with his wife Carolyn on their first flight. Apart from the substantial task of general re-assembly the fuselage and wings were essentially as they left the factory but a large amount of the work involved stripping back to bare metal and re-riveting after treatment with modern anticorrosives which is why OUV is still operational today with no corrosion. Tragically Nick was killed in a car accident in 1988 but his widow continues to fly OUV. This short clip is taken from the film "Perfect Lady" which covers the full story of OUV's restoration. It and other videos are available from Carolyn's website with all profits going to maintain the Spitfire in flying condition.

Transfer Dump Race: The Complete Run
Mark Tarascou and his Pete 359 is seen participating in a transfer dump competiton at the 2011 Truckin' For Kids Truck Show. Although there were a few glitches, it was still a good show.
For those not familiar with dump trucks like these, they are set up with a system that allows the driver to back the truck up while they are standing behind it to make attaching the towbar easier. The driver puts the truck in reverse gear and shuts the engine off. At the rear is a switch or a button that is used to engage the starter motor on the engine without starting the truck. Since the transmission is in reverse, as the starter motor turns the engine it also turns the driveline and backs the truck up. I'm not a trucker so I don't know what this system or technique is called, but that is how it works. Thanks for watching. Please rate and share this video with your friends. Shot on 9-25-11.

Banks Top Diesel Dragster: NHRDA Nationals
On March 6th, 2010 the Banks crew tested out the rail's new "Stroker" 427 cu. in., twin-turbo 7.0L Duramax engine at the NHRDA Nationals in Wittmann, Arizona. The numbers for this trip out were 7.670 @173.54. We were a little faster back in April 2009 when we ran 7.17 @ 181.08. We've also run a best trap speed of 190MPH with the car on a separate test session.
