From Wikipedia The 6000 was built at the Oshawa Car Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada from 1981 to 1988 and in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma until production ceased in 1991. They were also made in Tarrytown, New York for a few years. By 1984 the 6000 was Pontiac's best seller, with over 122,000 units sold. Since the demise of the T1000 after the 1987 model year, the 6000 was the last remaining Pontiac to bear the "000" in its name (the 2000 Sunbird was the first Pontiac to drop it in 1985). In 1982, two trim levels were offered: 6000 and 6000 LE. Both came standard with the new-for-1982 2.5 L (151 cu in) Tech IV four-cylinder with throttle body injection. It made 90 horsepower (67 kW). Optional engines were GM's 2.8 L (173 cu in) V6 with a 2-barrel carburetor which made 112 horsepower (84 kW), or a 4.3 L (263 cu in) Oldsmobile diesel V6 which made 85 horsepower (63 kW). The diesel engine was unpopular and only offered until 1985. The 2.8 was updated for 1985 with multi-port fuel injection, raising output to 135 horsepower (101 kW) exclusively for the STE. The fuel-injected 2.8 made its way into the Base and LE models for 1986, however in these trims it only made 125 hp. The Tech IV was given various updates over the years but was mostly unchanged. For 1984, a station wagon known as the 6000 Safari was introduced to replace the rear-wheel drive Grand LeMans Safari wagon. In 1987, an S/E model arrived with the STE powertrain but fewer features, and the quad-rectangular headlamps were replaced with the composite headlamps. In 1989, the coupe model was dropped, and the 6000 received a more-rounded roofline with the Buick Century and Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, and was facelifted for the final time with slightly wider headlamps and a new grille. In 1990, passive front seatbelts were introduced and a 3.1 L (191 cu in) V6 replaced the 2.8. After the STE model was dropped from the 6000 line for 1990, the S/E model gained its all wheel drive option. This was later dropped for the 1991 model year. The 6000 was dropped after 1991, replaced by the Grand Prix sedan. In addition, the Pontiac 6000 wagon was the final GM designed station wagon offering from Pontiac. Nathan Wratislaw like Trans ams and i have over 45 of them this one is not perfect it needs the obivious things that you can see but this is a Great car ata Gret price Youll be sure to love this one..This car is very fast ....Someone put $3000 plus more likely closer to $5000 Into Upgraes on the Motor, Transmission, Intae, Exaust And Suspension. This car Moves It still looks good but as you watch the video you will see it has No headliner needs a piece on drivers door panel. has a few scuffs etc. there are seatcovers on the factory GTA racing sats and they need redone they are torn etc my guy will redo them for $550 t-tops have a crack or 2 and the windshield has a crack. Pretty common when you beef one up this much. The car is pretty much all here including the t-top bags in the bac and the space saver spare. has the Edelbrock dual Throttle bodies and a 3" or so Dynamax exaust coupled with the suspension this car is set up to GO!! Its the kind of car tha looks good you can drive around and fix up as you go these are Great cars and you will have a great investment car that is a muscke car and can get you low 20's on gas milage Great cars and this one is a Great price i could cut it up and sell the parts for more than im asking. I had forgotten where this video was, but finally found it!! Here is part 1 of 2 of a camera tour of my beautiful 1988 Olds Toronado! This car replaced my 1986 Caddie Fleetwood that had too many problems!!! I replaced this Toronado in 2005 with an '88 Pontiac Bonneville, when I realized that a 4-door car is more practical than a 2-door. This video was shot with my Canon A-1 Digital hi-8 camcorder, in April of 1993.

The Cadillac's Borg Warner system "uses sophisticated controls and algorithms to augment vehicle handling and traction by optimally using grip at both the front and rear wheels," according to Cadillac. It can shift up to 100% of available torque to the front axle if needed. The 2012 Infiniti's M56x All-Wheel-Drive system is designed "specifically for a front engine/rear-wheel drive biased setup. 0 to 50 percent of the power can be sent to the front wheels for better control. The active brake limited slip differential can shift power side to side. The system uses an advanced torque split control strategy that automatically redistributes torque to the wheels (0:100 up to 50:50 front to rear) according to road and driving conditions." according to Infiniti. 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix
Heres a quick tour my new car. I SOLD MY 1988 GRAND PRIX in favor of this one because its in better shape mechanically and has more bells and whistles. As of right now it just needs a water pump (as you can hear in the video) and a transmission fluid change. More about the car, its a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix. It has a 3.1 V6 with 112,000 miles on it. It has almost every option like power windows, locks, mirrors, seats, sunroof, and a driver info center. I don't plan on driving this anytime soon, its going to be my summer car.

This is a Pretty amazing car it is a Pontiac 6000 Basically a Grand Am or a Cutlass or Skylark i believe chevy had one on this platform also i dont recall the name badge though THIS CAR HAS 64,000 ORIGINAL MILES!!!!!!!!! The resulting unit was fairly unreliable, and forestalled production. Ironically, it shared a chassis code with the also ill-fated Mazda Cosmo, first Japanese production car to feature a rotary engine. The car was redesigned shortly after it was released and the Wankel power plant was replaced by a line of conventional piston engines based on the new Z-series engine. These included the Z20 and the turbocharged and fuel injected Z18ET. In USA/Canada the 200SX had the Z20E with H165 rear axle from 1979-1981. From 1982--1983, it had a Z22E engine with H190 rear axle. Vehicles with engines over 2000cc are still considered "compact" vehicles under Japanese regulations regarding engine size

1989 Pontiac Firebird 2.8L V6
(pictures then some video). Well here is the first time this Firebird starts up in about 3-4 years. No muffler since the inside of it is rotten and ya, I'm buying a new one. So far I got a new fuel tank, a new fuel pump, tires and brakes with the new Walker muffler (Dynomax) on the way.
