► The C 63 AMG "Edition 507" produces 373 kW (507 hp), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds in the guise of the Saloon and Coupé, and in 4.3 seconds as the Estate. As such it outperforms the 336 kW (457 hp) standard model by two tenths of a second, and the variants with the AMG Performance package which produce 358 kW (487 hp) by one tenth of a second each. The top speed of all variants is 280 km/h (electronically limited): this is because as standard the "Edition 507" models are fitted with the AMG Driver's package. In addition to an increase in the restriction imposed on the top speed, the package also includes a voucher for attendance of a driver training session at the AMG Driving Academy.
The C 63 AMG "Edition 507" will be celebrating its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be opening its doors from 5 March 2013. The model's sales release is scheduled to begin on 8 April 2013, while the market launch in Germany will commence in June of this year.

► Audi's automatic driving for parking
Audi's automatic parking systems operate by means of either ultrasound or
cameras, which display images via the onboard monitor. One particularly
convenient solution is park assist. When backing into a parking space, it
performs all the necessary steering movements; it can handle both parallel
parking and parking perpendicular to the street. The system finds a parking
space with ultrasound sensors that scan the roadside in two dimensions
while driving at moderate speed. The system notifies the driver via a
message in the display once the sensors have found a space which is large
If the driver wishes to park in the space, he or she shifts into reverse
and the park assist system takes over the steering. The driver must
accelerate, shift gears, and brake. When parallel parking, the detected
space is large enough if it is about 80 centimeters (2.62 ft) longer than
the vehicle itself. Park assist can perform multi-point parking maneuvers
and also offers support in leaving parallel parking spaces.
Another technology from Audi is the parking system plus with surround view
cameras. Four small cameras -- in the single-frame grille, at the rear and
in the side mirror housings -- record the vehicle's immediate surroundings.
The driver can call up a variety of views on the large onboard monitor,
including a top-down virtual view. On corners or junctions with an
obstructed view, the system can analyze cross-traffic otherwise invisible
to the driver in front of or behind the vehicle.

The market launch of the new E 63 AMG with rear-wheel drive will begin in
April 2013, with the all-wheel-drive E 63 AMG and the E 63 AMG S-Model
following in June.
NEW Golf 7 4MOTION on Snow
Volkswagen is expanding the new Golf range: following the models with
front-wheel drive launched at the end of 2012, the versions with 4MOTION
all-wheel drive are now being unveiled. Volkswagen is thus continuing the
long tradition of four-wheel drive Golf models -- the first Golf with four
driven wheels made its debut back in 1986. The new Golf's permanent
four-wheel drive system is one of the most modern and efficient of its kind
in the world. In this latest version of the Golf 4MOTION Volkswagen is
using a four-wheel drive system with an enhanced, fifth-generation Haldex
coupling. The intelligently controlled 4MOTION drive weighs 1.4 kilograms
less than the previous system, requires no pressure accumulator and reacts
extremely quickly to every conceivable influence exerted on it. The result
is greater active safety and improved handling.
15 per cent lower fuel consumption. Volkswagen is offering the new Golf
4MOTION in Europe in three levels of specification (Trendline, Comfortline,
Highline) and with two turbo diesel
engines that provide both high torque and great fuel efficiency. The common
rail four-cylinder engines deliver 77 kW / 105 PS and 110 kW / 150 PS and
consume just 4.5 / 4.7 litres of fuel respectively per 100 kilometres. Just
how efficiently the four-wheel drive Golf works is shown by a fuel
consumption comparison between the 103 kW / 140 PS version of the old Golf
4MOTION and the new 150 PS model: despite being 10 PS more powerful, the
2013 Golf 4MOTION consumes 0.8 litres (15 per cent) less diesel.
High tech as standard. Like the front-wheel drive versions the new 4MOTION
models are equipped as standard with a Stop/Start system and battery
regeneration. Also included as standard even on the base version
(Trendline) are features such as the four-wheel EDS (electronic
differential locks on both axles), the XDS front and rear axle transverse
lock, the electronic stabilisation programme, an Automatic Post-Collision
Braking System, seven airbags, daytime running lights, air conditioning,
electric windows front and back, a multi-function display (on-board
computer) and a TFT display with touchscreen operation. The premium payable
for the permanent four-wheel drive system on the Golf 4MOTION -- sold
fundamentally as a four-door vehicle -- is €1,800 in Germany.

We had the chance to drive the all new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG (V222)
for three days in the surrounds of Bielefeld and Dortmund. Here is our In
Depth Review of the strongest Mercedes-Benz S-Class, 2014 Mercedes-Benz S
65 AMG (V222). We enjoyed our test drive with the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S 65

With the introduction of the W140 in 1991 in Geneva, Mercedes introduced a
12 cylinder engine in a S-Class for the first time, reacting to BMW effort
with the 7 series top modell. In 2004 Mercedes introduced the first S65 AMG
(after they already offered a AMG powered V12 in the S55 AMG). Last year I
was able to be part of the world premiere of the new S-Class, now be called
222 series and the debut of the all new S 65 AMG which had its debut at the
LA auto show 2013.
Let me get the facts out of the way first. The S65 AMG has a fine 6 Liter
V12 engine (for those Mercedes freaks - its the M279) that comes with 630
hp. Between 2.300-4.300 rpm it gives you a maximum torque of 1.000 Nm -
equals 738 foot pound of torque. All this power goes right to the rear.
Even though the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG weights 2250 kg (which equals 4960
pound), it accelarates from 0 to 100 km/h or even from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3
seconds. The topspeed is reached at 250 km/h / 155 mph - unless you spend
some extra bucks on the AMG drivers package - doing that your speed rush
will not end before reaching the 300 km/h, or 186 mph.
Ok, you can close your mouth and dream on. At least in Germany, you need at
least 232.050 Euros or 222.000 U$ to buy a S65 AMG. But then you have a
whole bunch of premium options included that you pay for extra on the
regular s-class for instance the AIR-BALANCE package, the Burmester High
End 3D-Surround Soundsystem with the COMAND Online infotainment-System, the
LED Intelligent Light System, Park-Assist package, MAGIC VISION CONTROL,
SPLITVIEW, the seat package with the massage functions and the panoramic
Mercedes builds an 80 Liter (21 gallons) tank in the S65 AMG and says you
can get a milage of 19.8 mpg (equals 11.9 liters for 100 kilometers). So in
theory at least, you should be able to drive a distance of 600 km / 373
miles without getting gas. Honestly, I even believe it is possible, but
then ... who would buy this car to drive it all slow and carefully instead
of just making the V12 roar. Yeah right, and not disable the ECO-Start
Just to rund up those numbers and figures - the S65 AMG only comes as the
long version called V222 (the short version is the W222) and it is 5.29m
long (17 feet 5 inch), 2.13m wide (7 feet) including the mirrors and its
height is 1.5m (5 feet). It has a turn radius of 12.3m (40 feet 5 inch).
Overall you are allowed to store up to 500 kg (1102 pound) in the car.

delivery center in Hamburg, Germany.
Designed to become one of the most luxurious and advanced vehicles ever
constructed, the 2014 S-Class has an evolutionary design that incorporates
a sportier front fascia, a larger grille and a gentle slanting rear end.

Mercedes has a tradition of building fast, elegant coupes and traditionally
it's always launched them with some sort of ground breaking technology. And
it's the same story with the S-Class Coupe.

The Mercedes S-Class Coupe is based on the new S-Class saloon and replaces
the old CL. If you want one, it'll cost you from around £100,000.
The bodywork is all new with sharp creases and a long bonnet, sloping roof
and a neat spoiler integrated into the boot lid. The range topping S63 AMG
model has a body kit and forged alloy wheels.
All S-Class Coupe models feature intelligent headlamps, and the daytime
running lights and indicator repeaters feature Swarowski crystals to
produce a clearer light.
They also get a glass panoramic sunroof which in no way impedes on rear
practicality. The sunroof can also be specced with Mercedes' 'Magic Sky'
sunroof, which darkens the glass at the touch of a button.
It's clear than Mercedes has gone all out with the interior on the C-Class
Coupe, and the cabin is different in terms of layout to the saloon.
The S63 AMG models also benefit from some sporty add ons, but rest assured
- every model in the line-up oozes quality.
Like the S-Class saloon, the S-Class Coupe is supremely comfortable thanks
to its air suspension, and the Magic Body Control improves this further.
However, the S-Class Coupe features some new ground breaking technology
called Curve Tilt Control.
This system uses the car's computer controlled suspension to lean into the
corner like a motorbike does in order to Boost comfort.
The S-Class Coupe is also supremely quiet, despite being powered by a
5.5-litre biturbo V8 and being able to
go from 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds.
The S63 AMG Coupe also comes with upgraded suspension, upgraded brakes and
an MCT gearbox. The latter isn't the smoothest system in the world, but
overall, it handles very well.
It's not an SLS though, but it's not supposed to be. It's been designed to
be a very quick, gadget laden cruiser which is the most comfortable of its
type on the market - and that's exactly what it is.
