Cars that should be driven
They're all long gone. Pretty shame they didn't get the attention they deserved
Name of the song is Bruce Springsteen & the E-street band - Racing in the street..
(I do not own any rights)
Hemi Under Glass Last Ride
After 39 years at the wheel of one of the most famous and unusual cars in drag racing, the Hemi Under Glass, Bob Riggle decided to hang it up.
We were there to capture the last runs of this iconic car and the driver who thrilled crowds at drag strips all over the country.
1970 Plymouth Superbird Nascar
one of two in existence (ever made by Richard Petty) and this one won the 1970 Daytona 500 driven by Pete Hamilton. Could have made it longer but wanted pictures of it driving too.
1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird Hemi Nascar
This is the most original Superbird Nascar thats around right now, all original body work, no wrecks (even back in the day), no changed body work.
Plymouth Superbird
1970 Plymouth Superbird at the 2010 Mopar Nationals. This is the actual car that won the Daytona 500. This was confirmed by the mechanics that built the car back in 1970. When they finished restoring the car they fired it up and the engine wasn't running right so Richard Petty himself took his screwdriver and tuned the carb and got it running perfect!
