1972 Buick Skylark
1972 Buick Skylark with a Hi-Compression Buick 350-4 I've had this car since October 8th 2010, I'm a senior in High School and it is my first car, my dad payed for half of it and I payed for the other half. I pay for the performance goodies that go into it and the occasional parts that break too. I love driving this old monster even though premium gas prices are outrageous but the rumble and roar of that massive V8 are well worth it. I take pride in this car and my dad and I do most of the work on it ourselves, it's somewhat of a father-son project. We've done nothing but make this car a heck of a lot better than it was when we got it. In the great words of GS Club of America, going fast with class, that's what these Buicks do. Detials: Stock HP: 175hp (for 1972 Buick 350-4 8.5:1 compression) Rear-wheel HP: 226hp @ 4326 RPM (should be a little higher with the Hyfire and Mallory coil) Rear-wheel Tourqe: 307.8 lb-ft @ 3372 RPM (should also be a little higher) Net HP: approx. 260hp Compression: 9.5:1 (not sure, but definitely higher than stock because without prem fuel I get spark knock with the correct fuel to air mixture) Rear-end gears: 2.73:1 Open Differential (plan on getting a Limited Slip one) Transmission: turbohydramatic 350 (with a shift kit for fun :D)

http://www.purevisiondesign.com http://www.v8tvshow.com - People often ask car builders what they would build for themselves had they the time and resources. Pure Vision's Steve Strope has had this 1966 Buick Skylark knocking around for nearly 2 decades, and he finally started to turn this car into the altered-wheelbase, Hemi-powered funny car for the street that he had always envisioned.
