How to completely drain GM LT1 engine coolant
Due to it's unique reverse-flow cooling system, some people can be
intimidated when it comes to proper cooling system maintenance on GM 5.7L
LT1 and 4.3L L99 engines.
In this video I show how to completely drain the engine block of coolant
on these engines. Merely draining the radiator leaves 60% of the old
coolant in the block, and also does not facilitate being able to run fresh
water through the cooling passages to remove sediment and rust.
Follow along as we do the process on our subject vehicle, a 1994 Chevrolet
Caprice with 259,000 miles.Enjoy!

Chevy Performance's LSX454 - Big Block Power in a Small Block Package!
Using the adage from '60's musclecars that "bigger is better", the famous
427 CID L88 was soon surpassed by a bigger, more powerful 454 CID engine in
various configurations. Today, we've followed the same path with the
Chevrolet Performance LSX454. The rugged LSX454 is all-new and designed for
serious power in the 21st century. The amazing thing is that this big
cubic inch package takes up the same physical space as a factory LS engine.
With a carburetor and a high-flow GMPP LSX-LS7 intake manifold, the LSX454
will produce about 620 horsepower at 6200 rpm and
600 lb/ft of torque at 4800 rpm. For more information on the LSX454 go to

The motor mount adapter plates used in this video place the engine one inch
too far forward. You need the adapter plates called the "One Inch Set-back"
plates. They'll place the engine and trans perfectly so that you can use
your original driveshaft without modification. They can be found on eBay
for $60 shipped.
