Rinspeed's first underwater Car
Rinspeed will present its new sQuba, the worlds first diving car, at the Geneva Motor Show (March 6-16). The car is not only able to drive on roads autonomously with a push of a button (thus without a driver, passenger or further assistance), but can also transform into an amphibious vehicle which can be submerged in water up to 10 meters (33 feet). An electric motor with powerful torque drives the rear wheels, while the propulsion on the water is ensured by two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet drives in the bow propelling the vehicle under water while diving. When underwater, the driver and passenger are enclosed in the vehicle thanks to light weight body components made of futuristic Carbon Nano Tubes and are supplied with fresh breathing air by the self-contained on-board system.

New Dacia Duster Racing Car - General views
Dacia, a brand of the Renault group, is to contest France's celebrated Trophée Andros ice-racing series. Alain Prost, former French F1 driver, will drive a competition version of Dacia Duster. The Trophée Andros is a competition that stands apart in motor sport as it places a cap on the use of complex and costly technological solutions, placing the emphasis instead on vehicle and driver ability. The announcement coincides with the revelation by Dacia of the name and design of the brand's sixth model, Duster. This crossover model will target customers looking for an affordable everyday all-terrain vehicle.

[12-Apr-2010] Dacia launches its sixth model: the Dacia Duster, a robust, spacious, easy-to-use and affordable off-roader. The Dacia Duster features a choice of engines, which combines low fuel consumption (the diesel dCi 85 4x2 version offers combined cycle fuel consumption of just 5.1 l/100 km) with low maintenance costs. Dacia Duster is more respectful of the environment thanks to its low CO2 emissions. The diesel versions of the Dacia Duster emit from 135g of CO2/km in two-wheel drive form and 145g of CO2/km for the 4x4 version.
2010 Dacia Duster, the new SUV that rewrites the 4x4 rulebook
Following the successive launches of Logan, Sandero and Logan MCV, plus Logan van and Logan
pick-up, Dacia is today poised to take on the 4x4 market with Dacia Duster. Dacia Duster is a tough, reliable, easy to use 4x4 aimed at motorists looking for a daily driver with real off-road ability.
Dacia Duster is economical both to buy and to run:
- economical to buy: an unbeatable performance/equipment/space package for its price.
- economical to run: available with a choice of thrifty engines featuring low fuel consumption and
low CO2 emissions. The 4x2 diesel versions of Dacia Duster will emit less than 140g of CO2/km,
making them eligible for the Dacia eco² signature, while the 4x4 diesel versions will emit less than
150g of CO2/km.
Dacia Duster will be manufactured at the brand's Pitesti plant in Romania. The Pitesti factory will
manufacturer both the 4x2 and 4x4 versions for the European, Turkish and Maghreb markets, with
sales scheduled to begin next spring (2010).
