2012 Honda CR-V Test Drive & Crossover SUV Review

http://www.autobytel.com/honda/cr-v/2012/?id=32972 For years the Honda CR-V has been one of the most consistent top selling crossovers on the market. And for 2012; the CR-V got a complete makeover. The exterior of the CR-V features a much more sculpted and rounded body. Overall it is a much more aesthetically pleasing package. The 2012 Honda CR-V is powered by a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 185 horsepower and 163 lb-ft. of torque. The small engine size helps the CR-V to obtain great fuel economy ratings at 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. On the inside the 2012 Honda CR-V seems much bigger with more room that you would expect. The rear seats fold down in a number of different configurations. The leather seats are well cushioned with good bolstering. Honda is known for driver ergonomics and everything on the CR-V is well within reach. The dash is clean and easy to read. Overall the interior is a nice place to spend time. The CR-V drives smooth and handles well. For years the Honda CR-V has been a class leader and with the newly redesigned model, it should continue to set the bar in the small crossover SUV segment. The base model 2012 Honda CR-Z retails for $22,295. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/?id=32972 Join Our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/autobytel

2012 Nissan Murano Test Drive & Crossover SUV Review
http://www.autobytel.com/nissan/murano/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Nissan Murano Crossover SUV looks sharp and more refined than previous models. The Murano has a base price of $29,290. There is only one engine choice available but that's ok because Nissan venerable VQ35DE engine lives under the hood. This 3.5 liter V-6 makes 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is good for a crossover at 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. On the inside Nissan has really stepped up the game on the Murano. Heck if the Nissan badges weren't there you could mistake the interior for an Infiniti. The great navigation and the comfortable leather seats work well to create an inviting environment for the drive and passengers. The 2012 Nissan Murano is based on the Nissan D platform so this crossover SUV handles and drives more like the Maxima. If you are shopping for a mid-sized crossover SUV then the 2012 Nissan Murano should definitely be considered. 2012 Subaru Forester XT Test Drive & Crossover SUV Review
http://www.autobytel.com/subaru/forester/2012/?id=32972 The 2012 Subaru Forester is a great crossover SUV for those who do not want to drive a station wagon. The Forester is one of the best selling models for Subaru and it is also one of the most popular vehicles in the entire crossover segment. The 2012 Subaru Forester XT looks like an Impreza WRX on steroids. The base model Forester has a starting price of $20,595 which is very comparable to other crossovers. But the Forester has AWD standard. The base model is powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder boxer engine that makes 170 horsepower. Fuel economy is 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. Step up to the higher level XT model for $27,095 and you can have a turbocharged version of the same engine that outs out 224 horsepower and 226 lb-ft. of torque. This model gets 19 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway, but if you ask any current Subaru Forester XT owner they will tell you the added power is awesome! The interior of the 2012 Subaru Forester XT is quite comfortable. There are options to add a navigation unit and other exterior options if necessary. The competition is tough in the compact crossover category. But the Forester XT adds turbo power, all-wheel drive, strong safety ratings, and a competitive price to beat the competition. 2013 Toyota RAV4 Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/rav4/?id=32972 The Toyota RAV4 first hit the shores here in the U.S. back in 1996. This little crossover SUV along with the Honda CR-V is responsible for starting the crossover craze. Today there are almost 50 different crossover models for sale here in America. The 4th generation RAV4 is an updated model that gets a complete interior and exterior redesign as well as an updated powerplant. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 comes in 3 trim levels: the LE, the XLE, and the top of the line Limited. The base price on the LE trim is just under $25k The RAV4 vs. CR-V battle reminds us of the old Ford vs. Chevy battles during the muscle car era. Over the past few years the Honda CR-V has really taken over the segment, gaining the most market share. But the all-new 2013 Toyota RAV4 aims to get back on top of the crossover sales charts. There are a ton of new features and lots of changes that make the 4th generation RAV4 the best ever. The past generation Toyota RAV4 came with a choice of a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine. Well the larger V-6 has been dropped and now the only engine offered is an efficient 2.5 liter 4-cylinder making 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft. of torque. What that means is coupled with the standard 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD; the 2013 Toyota RAV4 will return 31 MPG on the highway. You can also opt for an AWD version as a $1400 option. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 has been completely redesigned outside and in. It all starts with a brand new front end consisting of a bold grille and headlights that look similar to the new Camry. This generation RAV4 was made more aerodynamic and the result is better fuel economy. If you are buying a crossover chances are you may be driving around small children. The new Toyota RAV4 comes with a segment leading 8 standard air bags. Toyota engineers also worked the interior design to allow for the most cargo volume in the segment. The interior of the 2013 Toyota RAV4 is completely new with some great new features including an Acoustic Windshield which helps reduce wind noise. From the driver's perspective, the new instrumentation is pleasing while being easy to use. After the 7 year run of the previous model, Toyota has really stepped it up inside the cabin. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 sits nicely on the road and you will like the way it drives on the highway. This is an economy crossover SUV after all so you shouldn't expect the RAV4 to ride like a luxury car. Bottom line is that Toyota did a great job on the newly redesigned RAV4. They really hit the mark on this one and it's a huge improvement over the outgoing model. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 certainly has all the features you need. In fact the RAV4 can now compete with the Honda CR-V at the top of the economy crossover SUV segment. More videos: http://goo.gl/Kj1FlI Best cars in 2014: http://goo.gl/3xAVJi Upcoming reviews: http://goo.gl/pLtP6U AOA on Facebook: http://goo.gl/a47Cu1 For 2015 Honda has significantly refreshed the CR-V with a new engine, new transmission, a refreshed interior and the easy-to-use infotainment system from the 2015 Honda Civic. Instead of borrowing the Civc's engine however Honda has essentially lifted the continuously variable transmission, or CVT, and engine from the Accord modifying it to accept the CR-V's AWD system. As a result of the stepless transmission and direct-injection, fuel economy takes a serious real world jump. Also along for the ride is an available collision warning system, available radar cruise control and autonomous braking system. The CR-V still doesn't match the snazzy gizmo tally found in the Cherokee or Escape, but the average shopper in this segment will likely be swayed by the CR-V's excellent mileage, comfortable seats and sterling reliability reputation.

It offers a high driving position, spacious interior and its size gives added security when driving in town. As well as space inside, Honda has given the CR-V a long list of luxury and safety equipment, but that has pushed the price up to the level of premium rivals like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. Honda has made the CR-V more comfortable to drive, and it benefits from Honda's legendary reliability record.
