This is the 69 Buick Skylark convertible I am working on. I have the frame and front suspension done so I thought I'd make a video of it. More videos to come on the rest of the car...including the big block 455 build.

8.5 Supercore Copper Wound Wires, Engine Dress up Components (valve covers,
valve cover breather, chrome breather with a K&N Filter).
Crager 15's with 275/60/15s on the rear. Car runs hard and is very quick!
High 12's with Track Tires on and low 13's on Street Tires all on Pump Gas!

1971 Buick Skylark GS Convertible
1971 Buick Skylark GS Convertible For Sale in Chicago. This Arctic White 71
GS has the 350 Buick V8 engine with 4brl carburetor, turbo 350 transmission, dual Exhaust with factory rear bumper cutout Exhaust outlets, and an air induction hood
setup. This '71 features Buick's 350 V8 producing 290hp and 350 ft lbs of
torque. Options on this GS Convertible are factory power front disc brakes,
power steering, power windows, power convertible top, A/C, custom front are
rear seat belts, vinyl interior with a Notch back bench seat (has center
armrest), remote driver's sideview mirror, factory in-dash tachometer,
rally gauges, AM radio with factory dash mounted 8 track, 14" Rally wheels,
Softray tinted glass with glass window in the top, body side moldings, door
edge guards, Convenience Lighting Package with a trunk light, factory dual
horns, rear speaker, and tilt column. According to the original window
sticker, it was sold at Ken Watson Buick Inc, in Los Angeles, California
and was built in Flint, Michigan. There were only 599 GS 350 convertibles
made in 1971. This is a nice driver car that is ready for summer cruising!

1965 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE SOLD Drager's 206-533-9600
1965 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE. # 444675H121712. I like finding cars
like this. I got the original window sticker with it showing it was sold in
Mountain View California. Also the Protect-O-Plate showing it was sold to
the first owner 11/27/1964 living in Saratoga California. Im not sure when
it came to Washington but I got a lot of receipts from as far back as 1993
in Seattle. The receipts show the engine was rebuilt 2004. When I bought it
the owner had bought a new carpet kit but had not installed it so my son
Andrew did. You will see current floor pan photos. Floor pans look great.
The window sticker shows wire wheel covers and they are still on the car.
Another neat thing that shows on the window sticker Custom Trim Bucket
Seats. You can expect to find a few spots in the paint and it has some,
nothing big. Minor rust bubbles too. The top is old and shows age but
should last a long time. For me the top is alI ways down except when my
wife wants it up. Its triple white. V-8 with automatic transmission. Power
steering. Power brakes. Power top. Came with front seat belts and the rear
seat belts have been added. In the trunk we found very small rust holes in
the floor. All serviced and safety checked. Installed new wheel cylinders
on the front along with new front brake lining. You will like driving this
car. Every Buick I have had in the 60s I have liked. They are great cars.
You can drive this Buick anywhere. Im looking forward to driving it a lot
before its sold. Im pricing it to sell in this market. I have found them
for sale from rough cond. to fine from $6,000 to $28,000. Cond. # 3-.

Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by
Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History
Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim:
"No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into
the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar
Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom
fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the
bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of
another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their
invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men,
William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building
business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant
realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with
Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were
regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks
through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the
compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for
the largest company in the world."
1966 BUICK SKYLARK CONVERTIBLE - BUICK'S MID-SIZE MUSCLE CAR
Back in '66 car makers still offered a multitude of models to reach all
market levels. Buick offered at the low end Special, followed by Skylark,
LeSabre, Wildcat, Electra 225, and Riviera. What makes the mid-size
Skylark a muscle car? The 2 V8 engine choices. A 300 cid, like this one
with 210 hp., or a 401 cid, with 325 horses. The latter engine also
available with the Skylark GS that offered more options and features. With
2,904 lbs, either V8 engine could propel this lightweight to extraordinary
speed quickly. Same with the GS Skylark that weighed 3,167 lbs. So like
the other intermediate size models, the Skylark is definitely Buick's
muscle car. ( The Buick Wildcat model is powerful too with a 401 or 425
V8, but it is a large car sharing the Electra 225 platform. ) Thanks very

1995 Buick Skylark Custom V6 Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1995 Buick Skylark V6. I
take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car
while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling
cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it,
start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough
tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall
appreciation of the vehicle.

1972 Buick Skylark with a Hi-Compression Buick 350-4
I've had this car since October 8th 2010, I'm a senior in High School and
it is my first car, my dad payed for half of it and I payed for the other
half. I pay for the performance goodies that go into it and the occasional
parts that break too. I love driving this old monster even though premium
gas prices are outrageous but the rumble and roar of that massive V8 are
well worth it. I take pride in this car and my dad and I do most of the
work on it ourselves, it's somewhat of a father-son project. We've done
nothing but make this car a heck of a lot better than it was when we got
it. In the great words of GS Club of America, going fast with class, that's
what these Buicks do.
Stock HP: 175hp (for 1972 Buick 350-4 8.5:1 compression)
Rear-wheel HP: 226hp @ 4326 RPM (should be a little higher with the Hyfire
and Mallory coil)
Rear-wheel Tourqe: 307.8 lb-ft @ 3372 RPM (should also be a little higher)
Net HP: approx. 260hp
Compression: 9.5:1 (not sure, but definitely higher than stock because
without prem fuel I get spark knock with the correct fuel to air mixture)
Rear-end gears: 2.73:1 Open Differential (plan on getting a Limited Slip
Transmission: turbohydramatic 350 (with
a shift kit for fun :D)

look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand
National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are
identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you
stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which
I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking
buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing
performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience
to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we
will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with
the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data,
and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior
and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only
get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will
highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any
available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video
without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior
perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
