6.5 chevy boat diesel conversion Part 1
I adapted a GM 6.5 liter turbo diesel to a Mercruiser Bravo One outdrive to install in my old boat in place of the weak Perkins inboard engine. There are still many things to be done but I made the brackets for the raw sea water water pump and a second power steering pump. The engine will have its own heat exchanger. A second heat exchanger has several compartments for oil cooler, power steering cooler, and a section for the second power steering pump. I will add a liquid to air Intercooler between the turbo and the intake. The second power steering pump will pump cold syntheyic ATF thru the Intercooler. So no seawater touches any of the engine components. The Exhaust will be wrapped in fiberglass cloth and refractory cement covered in aluminum tape. I'll make it work. The diesel will fit the later model Mercruiser bellhousing with the large hole as long as the housing is spaced 1/2" from the engine to make room for the drive hub bolts. Even 2 store bought 3/8" steel bellhousing spacers will work and will leave plenty of spline engaged in the drive plate. I will install the engine and outdrive and test it in the stock 200HP configuration. Then comes the Intercooler and the bump-up to the injection pump fuel limiter.

383 Stroker 500HP+ rebuilt
Hey, a few days after everything was finished (old 383 Stroker with stock iron heads)the engine blew up with a broken piston.I will post a video about that later. Luckily the Engine-Block didn't suffer any damage and after disassembly of the whole motor it was the perfect 4-Bolt base for a real 500+ HP 383 Stroker. This time I wanted serious horsepower! So here we go, over 4.700$ in parts later...assembly is finished and right now the motor waits for going back into the Truck. Still a lot of other stuff to do at the Truck, but I think the Motor will be in the Truck running, in about 4-5 Weeks. Enjoy!
