1967 BOAC 500 Sports Car Race Brands Hatch.mp4
Coverage of the 1967 BOAC 500 Sports Car Race at Brands Hatch which sealed
Ferrari as Sports Car Champions over the Ford GT40's that year.
The intro shows a Ferrari 412P - a "customer version" of the famous 330 P3
race car, built for independent teams like NART (0844), Scuderia
Filipinetti (0848), Francorchamps (0850), and Maranello Concessionaires
0854 is seen behind the Ford Transit at the beginning of this film with its
unique Cambridge Blue stripe on Rosso Corsa.
These cars had carburetor engines instead of the factory Lucas fuel
injection of the P4 but were otherwise very similar - A P3 was also updated
to p4 spec -the 0846 being since the subject of an intense investgation of
authenticity since Ferrari have previously decklared it as destroyed and
Surviving 412P cars are worth approximately $8 million at auction. 0854 is
currently undergoing restoration and conversion from Spyder back to
Belinetta by James Glikenhaus.
