Buschur DSM Shootout 2013 Compilation Fri, Sat, and a lil of Sun
Video I took from my frist trip to the 21st Buschur Shootout in 2013, unedited coverage from Friday show in Wakeman (missed the Dyno runs) and Friday night, Saturday, and early Sunday runs. Didn't get to stay all day Sunday and missed the best part because of the drive home but you can bet your ass I will be off on Monday next year and not going to miss anything the whole weekend. Again this is unedited and I just plugged all the footage I had in and this is the result so parts of it may be boring and have a Honda or two in it so I apologize in advance. Hopefully the few snips of antilag being adjusted on one of the Magnus cars will make up for it. We had a great time at the event and can't wait till next year to bring one of our DSM's and get more involved in the fun. BEST BURNOUT EVER! SUMMERNATS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BURNOUT!
Summernats 26 broke a Guinness World Record for the most amount of cars in simultaneous burnout on January 4, 2013 in Canberra, Australia. When the massive blanket of smoke eventually cleared, Chris Sheedy from Guinness World Records told the 10,000 plus crowd that exactly 69 cars had managed to complete a 30 second burnout. Sixty nine. That's a 'Nats kind of number. Drivers came from all across Australia to fry their tyres together in this historic event, some traveling thousands of kilometres from Western Australian and Northern Queensland to take part in the rare feat. 138 tyres x 30 seconds x over 35,000 horsepower = 1 world record. Martin Stamatis 4.577 329.10 mph (529.63 kmh) drag race
Western Australian Martin Stamatis became the fastest Australian drag racer at the recent Sydney Summernationals on Saturday February 16 when he blasted his Fastlane Software Jim Read Racing top fuel dragster to a top speed of 329.10 mph (529.63 kmh) down the WSID quarter mile. The fastest speed recorded by an Australian on Aussie soil was previously held by his team mate, Phil Read who ran 329.02 mph (529.51 kmh) at the 2006 Boxing Day International Top Fuel Challenge. Although the margin may be minimal to some, for Stamatis the speed was a great personal achievement for him and his hard working team, and the 4.577 second ET from the run is also now only just behind Phil Read's personal best of time 4.571 seconds, leaving the entire Read team really pumped. Stamatis and his team then went on to win the meeting, and are now looking forward to the next top fuel round due to be held in Sydney on May 2 and 3.
