2013 Toyota RAV4 Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/rav4/ The Toyota RAV4 first hit the shores here in the U.S. back in 1996. This little crossover SUV along with the Honda CR-V is responsible for starting the crossover craze. Today there are almost 50 different crossover models for sale here in America. The 4th generation RAV4 is an updated model that gets a complete interior and exterior redesign as well as an updated powerplant. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 comes in 3 trim levels: the LE, the XLE, and the top of the line Limited. The base price on the LE trim is just under $25k
The RAV4 vs. CR-V battle reminds us of the old Ford vs. Chevy battles during the muscle car era. Over the past few years the Honda CR-V has really taken over the segment, gaining the most market share. But the all-new 2013 Toyota RAV4 aims to get back on top of the crossover sales charts. There are a ton of new features and lots of changes that make the 4th generation RAV4 the best ever.
The past generation Toyota RAV4 came with a choice of a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine. Well the larger V-6 has been dropped and now the only engine offered is an efficient 2.5 liter 4-cylinder making 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft. of torque. What that means is coupled with the standard 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD; the 2013 Toyota RAV4 will return 31 MPG on the highway. You can also opt for an AWD version as a $1400 option.
The 2013 Toyota RAV4 has been completely redesigned outside and in. It all starts with a brand new front end consisting of a bold grille and headlights that look similar to the new Camry. This generation RAV4 was made more aerodynamic and the result is better fuel economy. If you are buying a crossover chances are you may be driving around small children. The new Toyota RAV4 comes with a segment leading 8 standard air bags. Toyota engineers also worked the interior design to allow for the most cargo volume in the segment.
The interior of the 2013 Toyota RAV4 is completely new with some great new features including an Acoustic Windshield which helps reduce wind noise. From the driver's perspective, the new instrumentation is pleasing while being easy to use. After the 7 year run of the previous model, Toyota has really stepped it up inside the cabin.
The 2013 Toyota RAV4 sits nicely on the road and you will like the way it drives on the highway. This is an economy crossover SUV after all so you shouldn't expect the RAV4 to ride like a luxury car. Bottom line is that Toyota did a great job on the newly redesigned RAV4. They really hit the mark on this one and it's a huge improvement over the outgoing model. The 2013 Toyota RAV4 certainly has all the features you need. In fact the RAV4 can now compete with the Honda CR-V at the top of the economy crossover SUV segment.

2013 Lexus LS 460 F-Sport Test Drive & Luxury Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/lexus/ls-460/2013/ For the past 2 decades the full sized LS series sedan has always been the Kingpin of the Lexus line-up. The new LS has come a long way since the first boxy models appeared years ago. This new 2013 Lexus LS 460 F-Sport combines elegance, luxury, style, sport, and aggression into one great package with a price of under $80k.
The LS 460 comes with the spindle style grille that is unique to Lexus. What sets the car apart is the F-Sport package. On the outside the F-Sport adds upper and lower grille pieces to the front bumper, unique F-Sport badging, and 19-inch BBS alloy wheels. Performance wise the F-Sport package will get you larger Brembo brakes to increase the stopping power, a TORSEN limited slip differential, and an Adaptive Variable Air Suspension which can be controlled inside the car. Inside the F-Sport Package for the 2013 Lexus LS 460 adds bolstered front seats that have the F-Sport insignia set in them, black leather interior surfaces trimmed in white, a special shift knob, Alcantara headliner, paddle shifters, and cool aluminum trim pieces.
The 2013 Lexus LS 460 F-Sport is powered by a 4.6 liter V-8 engine that makes 386 horsepower and 367 lb-ft. of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission features cool paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel. Fuel economy for this full size luxury car is 16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. There is an AWD model but both power and fuel economy drop.
On the inside the F-Sport touches are evident with the badging on the steering wheel and seats. Speaking of seats these are some of the most comfortable on the market which is what you should come to expect from Lexus. The gauges on the dashboard are very attractive and the LS 460 comes packed with technology, gadgets, and safety features. The overall layout of the cabin is nice and spacious moving the Lexus brand forward and setting a new measuring stick.

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/new-cars/hyundai/santa-fe/ The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is a brand new redesign that makes this the 3rd generation automobile. It's hard to believe that the Santa Fe came out back in 1998. Back then there were not many crossovers on the market yet. Now that practically every automobile manufacturer has a crossover, Hyundai is playing it smart. They have gotten rid of the Veracruz model and then Hyundai has created a long wheel base and a short wheel base Santa Fe. Prices start at $24,450.
There are 2 different engine options available on the 2013 Santa Fe Sport. The first is a direct injected 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 190 horsepower and 181 lb-ft. of torque. The second engine is a 2.0 liter turbocharged and gasoline direct injected motor that makes 264 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy is 31 MPG combined for the turbo and 33 MPG combined for the naturally aspirated engine.
On the inside the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has a great 8-inch Navigation as an option. The panoramic sunroof is ultra cool and lets rear passengers enjoy the fresh air and sunlight. The Santa Fe Sport comes standard with many great features like cruise control, power windows and locks, Bluetooth, and steering wheel mounted audio controls to name a few. Safety wise the Santa Fe comes with 7 airbags, stability control, traction control, and anti-lock brakes. These items are all standard on the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.
Many improvements have been made and maybe the most important is the reduction in weight. The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe weighs 266 lbs. less than the previous model. That weight reduction has a positive effect on fuel economy. The Santa Fe Sport can carry up to 5 people. The rear seat is a 40/20/40 split bench making for a versatile crossover SUV. You can order the Santa Fe in either FWD or AWD configurations.
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is priced right alongside its competition. But with the Santa Fe you get more standard features for your money along with a great 10 year 100k mile warranty.

2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Sedan Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/avalon/2013/ When the Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota launched the Avalon back in 1995, many accused the foreign auto maker of building a Buick. While the average age of current Avalon owners is well past retirement at 67 years old, Toyota is hoping to strike a cord with a younger target demo of 40-60 year olds with the all new 4th generation Avalon and Avalon Hybrid sleek and athletic exterior as well as techno-savvy features inside as well. Asking price for the 2013 Toyota Avalon starts at $30,990 with the electrified high MPG hybrid model going for $35,555.
This current 2013 Toyota Avalon does not resemble any of the 3 previous generations. Toyota has taken their youthful, modern, sleek, and athletic styling all the way from the front of the car to the back of the car. The rear angle of the c-pillar is only 15-degrees making it one of the sleekest in the industry and that helps give the Avalon a more modern look. The old Avalon had 14.5 cubic feet of space in the trunk; the new Avalon has 16 ft. Even the hybrid with the battery pack still has over 14 cubic feet of space. So this car is not only attractive, but very roomy.
The Avalon is only available in FWD, so those who live in a cold weather climate and need AWD might have to look elsewhere. But for most people, the 2013 Toyota Avalon is just the right vehicle. In fact the Avalon is really pushing the limit of what a premium car is. The Avalon's older sibling the Lexus ES could be considered a competitor since the cars are so similar. The Avalon is powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 engine that makes 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 21 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.
http://www.autobytel.com/toyota/avalon-hybrid/2013/ If you are looking for a full sized car and fuel economy is a concern, you really do not have many choices out there. But your shopping list should start and end with the new Avalon Hybrid. Its only a couple of thousand more than the non-hybrid Avalon with a starting price at around $35k but you get 40 MPG combined city/highway. That is really second to none. The closest competitor would be the Buick LaCrosse e-Assist and that only has a combined 31 MPG. Toyota has once again proven that they are the #1 name in hybrids. The engine is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder that when combined with the electric motor can produce up to 200 horsepower.
A new feature in the 4th generation Avalon is the capacitive touch controls. The Avalon is a true full-sized sedan. The rear passengers have plenty of rear seat room. The seats are very comfortable, the interior spacious, and the cargo volume plentiful. The 2013 Toyota Avalon is a great all around vehicle. A couple of key competitors are the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus, and the upcoming Chevrolet Impala.

What I have to say about the 2013 Toyota RAV4: It was 10 years ago when the Full Size SUV Market was for high demand by consumers, but the RAV4 was one of the very first car based SUVS to be on the North American market. It's now in it's 4th generation and Toyota has done a pretty good job at redesigning at, the last generation was very popular and sold well, but did not have the same RAV4 roots that it always had, this one however fixes that. The V6 will be missed, but again those were never a part of the basic RAV4 ingredients. The interior of the new RAV4 is a nice cabin to be in with nice french stitching across the dashbaord and a great ergonomically correct interior. All wheel Drive is an option and cargo space still remains pretty good. All in all great SUV from Toyota, Camerons Car Reviews highly recommends putting this car to your test drive list if your looking for a Small SUV, don't forget this is also Camerons Top Choice for a Small SUV for 2013.

2014 Mazda CX-5 vs. 2013 Toyota RAV4 Comparison
Can an updated version of the classic RAV4 compete with the modern era Mazda CX-5?
Compact crossovers are selling like proverbial hot cakes in the United States. Last year nearly two million of these tall little family vehicles moved off dealer lots.
As should be expected, a booming market segment like this attracts attention. And while some vehicles like the Dodge Journey, Chevrolet Equinox and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport stretch the term 'compact' to its limits, nearly every manufacturer has a player on the field; some more than one.

Super car - 2013 Toyota RAV4 - First Look, Interior, Exterior, Review of 2012
The interior is a welcome change. The last gen was an awful mess, flat-out stupid looking. The new model 2013 Toyota RAV4 better be fantastic to drive, because otherwise it is very disappointing. Test drive. V-6 and third row seat options no longer available. Full size spare tire gone. Ground clearance reduced. Four cylinder engine has lost horsepower. And, Toyota RAV4 of 2013 appears that what used to be among the best sightlines in the industry may have been substantially compromised. If Toyota wanted a CR-V clone, and intended to place the vehicle with many others in the pack, why buy the RAV4? We need costumer reports in comments.
