Innespace Seabreacher (or Sea Breacher) is a two-seat submersible personal
watercraft, with a shape based on that of dolphin, and the ability to
imitate a dolphin's movement.
Designed by Rob Innes and Dan Piazza of the American company Innespace it
is the production model of the single-seat Innespace Dolphin. The concept
came from VASH (variable attitude submersible hydrofoil), which was
invented by Thomas "Doc" Rowe and Dennis "Dusty" Kaiser in 1987 with his
boat, Noland Won.
The two seat vessel is powered by an Atkins Rotary Marine engine coupled to
a Hurth V-drive transmission.

A midget submarine is any submarine under 150 tons,
typically operated by a crew of one or two but sometimes up to 6 or 8, with
little or no on-board living accommodation. Midget submarines normally work
with mother ships, from which they are launched and recovered, and which
provide living accommodation for the crew and other support staff.
Both military and civilian midget submarines have been built. Military
types work with surface ships and other submarines as mother ships.
Civilian and non-combatant military types are generally called
submersibles, and normally work with surface ships.
Most early submarines, such as the United States Navy's USS Holland (SS-1)
and the British Royal Navy's Holland 1, would now be considered midget
Most German midget submarines were developed late in World War II in an
attempt to stop the Allied invasion of Europe and used later to disrupt its
supply lines. As a result, the submarines mostly engaged in open water
attacks rather than harbour penetration.

A submersible is a small vehicle designed to operate underwater. The term
submersible is often used to differentiate from other underwater vehicles
known as submarines, in that a submarine is a fully autonomous craft,
capable of renewing its own power and breathing air, whereas a submersible
is usually supported by a surface vessel, platform, shore team or sometimes
a larger submarine. In common usage by the general public, however, the
word submarine may be used to describe a craft that is by the technical
definition actually a submersible. There are many types of submersibles,
including both manned and unmanned craft, otherwise known as remotely
operated vehicles or ROVs. Submersibles have many uses worldwide, such
as oceanography, underwater archaeology, ocean exploration, adventure,
equipment maintenance/recovery or underwater videography.
2011 Audi Trimaran Concept
A new concept from Audi.
The Audi Trimaran is a motorboat concept developed at the company's design
studio in Munich by Stefanie Behringer from Pforzheim Technical College.
Among the features are two jet skis integrated in the yacht structure.
Officially presented by Audi, the Trimaran Concept features a design based
on the brand's values.
From the official Press Release:
It integrates two jet skis in a motorboat. The hull architecture is based
on a trimaran, consisting of a main center hull supported by two smaller
Two jet skis are stored inside pods in the outriggers. The main boat is
powered by two lightweight and efficient Audi TDI diesel engines, whereas
the jet skis are electrically-driven.
At low speeds of up to 8 knots, for example in bays or harbors, the boat
can be moved using the jet ski engines alone, which produce no emissions or
At higher speed up to 30 knots, the two diesel engines can be switched on
During this process the electric motors in the jet skis support the diesel
engines while accelerating, so that the boat is planing faster and less fuel is needed.
At the same time the diesel engines recharge the batteries in the two jet

"This is due to the very slender hulls, which have less friction resistance
in the water. Furthermore multihulls have very stable driving
characteristics and lie at anchor very calmly."
The boat is 15m long and, due to its slender center hull, is only 6.40m
wide. The jet ski drive concept allows you to go even into shallow water,
because the draft is only 58 cm.
On deck there is space for 12 people, while below the boat offers four
berths. By flipping down the saloon table, another two berths can be

The main proportions of the exterior follow the graceful character of a
sailing yacht, emphasized by the mesh surfaces within the outriggers and
the shape of the main hull, which narrows to the back.
The silver frame, which links the outrigger pods with the main hull,
accentuates the technical aspect of Audi and is reminiscent of the aluminum
frame structures of automotive engineering.
The jet skis follow the elegant and light appearance of the main boat.
The high side walls prevent spraying water, while the storage in the front

The suspended seating bench offers excellent driving comfort.
The deck area is the place for relaxation and meeting together.
As the opposite pole of the more technical and emotional exterior, the deck
area design is based on very calm and puristic shapes, reminiscent of a
typical lounge character.
Between the two spacious seating benches, which grow out of the large sun
lounger surfaces from the back, a table can be moved out of the floor.
The huge panorama glass roof does not only shield the passengers from
headwinds, but can also work as sun protection when shaded.
Always Late Sinks 2
This is the boat that sank about 60 miles of the coast of Ocean City
Maryland. Saturday September 19 around 11:00 am the entrie crew was rescued
by the crew of the Marli fishing boat. The US coast Guard arrived by air
and attempted to pump out the boat but it was to late.

Rinspeed's first underwater Car
Rinspeed will present its new sQuba, the worlds first diving car, at the
Geneva Motor Show (March 6-16). The car is not only able to drive on roads
autonomously with a push of a button (thus without a driver, passenger or
further assistance), but can also transform into an amphibious vehicle
which can be submerged in water up to 10 meters (33 feet). An electric
motor with powerful torque drives the rear wheels, while the propulsion on
the water is ensured by two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet
drives in the bow propelling the vehicle under water while diving. When
underwater, the driver and passenger are enclosed in the vehicle thanks to
light weight body components made of futuristic Carbon Nano Tubes and are
supplied with fresh breathing air by the self-contained on-board system.
