Mk2 Volkswagen Jetta 8v Wannabe Racecar Walkaround /Idle Sound
I bought this car in stock condition with 160k miles in April 2000, and this is the car in September 2014 with 243k. It was a daily driver until June 2005 when the current suspension/wheel/brake setup was fitted, at witch point it became a garaged summer car not driven in the rain or salt since. It's a 1992 Jetta GL, originally with a RV engine and AUG transmission. The original unibody rusted out and in 2002 I bought a rust-free 91 Jetta, cleaned it up, and swapped all the guts over during a long weekend in 2003, and junked the original bodyshell. It drives and handles great. It's loud inside and visceral, you can feel everything, has great engine response, and is utterly reliable. This car has had numerous stock parts replaced over the years, too much to mention. Always using quality fluids like Mobil1, Redline gear oil, Redline CV-2 Axle/Bearing grease, Lubro-Moly additives, and ATE Super Blue brake fluid. Always using paints like POR-15, Eastwood, Rust-o-leum, G2 caliper paint, SEM self etching primer. Griot's detailing products have also brought my chalkboard paint and trim back a lot. I keep it covered in the garage and I cover it at work so It doesn't bake out in the sun all day Drivetrain: -Original Digifant II engine management with BMW 535/735 Airflow Sensor and TT custom ECU chip -Original short block, Personally rebuilt P+P head with Techtonics 268 cam/adjustable sprocket, 3 angle valve job, Open breather with catch can, Low temp thermostat and fan switch, ABA oil pump, windage tray, Mobil1 oil -Dual outlet manifold/downpipe, Mk3 cat, Techtonics stainless cat-back with 2nd resonator and Borla straight thru muffler, Flat Ubolt clamps, Chain reinforced hangers. -DFQ Transmission from 97 Jetta, 16v clutch, 8lb Eurospec Sport flywheel, Peloquin 80% "poor man's posi" diff upgrade, TT short shifter, weighted shift rod, Redline MTL oil -VF Engineering poly/aluminum trans mount, Bahn Brenner solid aluminum front mount, Many broken front mount brackets over the years, OEM rubber rear mount with Prothane insert. -A/C and power steering removed, Custom alternator bracket, pulley, and belt Running Gear: -Manual steering rack swap, Federal Mogul rack, Prothane bushings -Front stabilizer bar removed to reduce understeer -H&R Coilovers for Corrado G60 -VR6 Strut bearings -Prothane bushings for control arms, rear strut mounts, and rear axle beam -Eurosport front and rear strut braces -Corrado G60 22mm Master Cylinder -Corrado G60 280mm front brakes -Rear 226mm disc brake conversion with Mk4 aluminum calipers -Centric Power Slot rotors and Posi-Quiet Metallic pads -Stainless braided hoses H&R Trak+ wheel spacers, 15mm front and 8mm rear to clear suspension -15x7 Rota Slipstream knockoffs called Flik Blasts, really light too and still not bent. -195/50/15 Toyo R1R tires Body/Electrical: -Smoked Aero E-Code Headlights, Aftermarket front bumper lights, Tint sprayed and clear coated tail lamps and front markers -G60 Front arches, liberal wheel clearancing front and back -Early style 7 bar grille, quick release front bumper cover -Battery replaced with Odyssey PC625 SLA dry cell and relocated behind parking brake lever with custom bracket -Audi TT Power distribution/fuse block with bosch headlight relays and custom radiator fan wiring for non A/C -Dashboard shell is wired with distribution blocks for constant, ignition switched, and blower knob switched power, as well as multible grounding terminals -Hardwired for Valentine One or some other modern radar detectors Interior: -HVAC system/box completely removed, bare firewall, heater hoses looped with custom stainless pipe -Helios GLI Recaro seats -Early 3 point seat belt conversion -Schroth 3 point driver's harness with fabricated brackets -Rallye-Wink 5 panel rear view mirror -Rabbit GTI shift knob -VDO Series 1 gauges for Oil pressure at the filter flange and the head, Voltage, Vacuum, and the water temp gauge used as oil temp -All sound deadening/insulation removed, trim/headliner removed, rear seat brace removed, random other dead weight reduction, is 2030lbs without driver and 1/4 tank

DETAILED Review | 2015 Volkswagen Jetta on Everyman Driver
http://www.everymandriver.com/ - 2015 @VW @Volkswagen #Jetta @EverymanDriver @IMDaveErickson The redesigned 2015 Jetta, when equipped with the optional Forward Collision Warning system, has been named a 2014 TOP SAFETY PICK+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2015 Jetta offers a combination of both passive and active systems and has been engineered to meet or exceed current crash regulations. The Jetta features a number of available driver assistance systems, including Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Warning. Blind Spot Monitor. This system utilizes a flashing symbol in the outer area of the side mirrors to help alert the driver to vehicles that are in the vehicle’s blind spot or approaching from the rear. This is intended to help improve driver awareness when changing lanes. The system uses radar sensors to "monitor" a space around the vehicle with a range of approximately 65 feet. Customers who choose the Blind Spot Monitor option automatically get the Rear Traffic Alert assistance system as well. Rear Traffic Alert. The new driver assistance system is offered in tandem with Blind Spot Monitor. The system not only helps alert the driver to stationary and moving vehicles directly behind the vehicle; it also detects vehicles approaching from the side which may be difficult for the driver to see. The radar-based sensor module can even detect objects up to 65 feet away. In case of an impending collision, the system gives an acoustic warning. Forward Collision Warning. This system uses radar sensors to monitor the distance from traffic ahead of the vehicle. The Forward Collision Warning system helps alert the driver of critical front-end collision situations, both acoustically and visually by a clear warning symbol in the instrument cluster. The radar sensor acquires both the position of stationary cars and motorcycles and those moving in the same direction as the vehicle. The sensor is hidden behind the VW logo on the radiator grille. All Jetta models are equipped with standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC), six airbags, Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA). The 2015 Jetta is already on sale in U.S. dealerships. The lineup will offer three gasoline engines, a TDI Clean Diesel, and a hybrid powertrain, as well as four trim levels—Base, S, SE, and SEL. 2014 New Car Buyer's Guide: Top 10 Sedans and SUVs Reviewed: Buy it here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LZ8R1SK Rudy Project Sunglasses 25% Off at this link: http://bit.ly/rudy-emd Enter the code 'EMD' during checkout at http://www.xx2i.com/ to receive a 50% discount! 2015 VW Passat (B8) 2.0 TDI (150hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (1080p)
This week I present to You the full Drive & Sound test with the all new 2015/2016 Volkswagen Passat (B8) Sedan / Limousine powered by the popular 2.0 TDi delivering 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque. This particular car comes in "Comfortline" with 16 inch winter-wheels and the 6-speed manual transmission. Even in this "entry-level" trim this car is close to perfect as the engine pulls nicely and quiet, the agility and ride comfort ist very good and consumption was always at 5.x....even on the Autobahn. As you see in the video the acceleration is pretty much as expected, being not really slower than the same engine in the Golf 7. I don't know if I always hit the shifts perfect but overall this is a marvelous manual transmission with crisp yet very comfortable shifts. Unfortunately I was not able get either CarNet or MirrorLink going as the car didn't have the SIM-Module and MirrorLink was not activated yet. Still, with the Discovery Media you get a very slick Infotainment System for a moderate price which (due to a new processor) is significantly faster than the "small" navigation system in the Golf 7. Now its your turn, what do you think about the new Passat? Please make sure to LIKE / COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE and don't miss the full Drive & Sound of this car on Automann-TV!

Turbocharged VW Jetta 2.0 Review!
For this quick review video, I continue my mountain drives this time around in a Precision turbocharged Volkswagen Jetta with the 2.0 liter motor. With a decent amount of power gained from the factory horsepower, it was an interesting drive feeling out the power band in comparison to stock along with the staggered tire setup. With the look of the stance world with a hint of performance, it was a great time.
