Hungry for more, Nunzi, the crew, and his 4 Cylinder '63 Tempest headed
back to Atco Racetrack in hopes to break 11's. Success came early in the
day hitting 11.74. When the spectators asked Nunzi if he was satisfied with
the 11.74 run, he quickly replied "I'm not done yet."

1963 Pontiac LeMans Rare 4 Cylinder Four Barrel Four-speed 3.73 Posi - Half of a 389 V8
I thought you might like a look at this very unique 1963 Pontiac LeMans.
It's powered by a 194.5 Cubic Inch 45 Degree Four Cylinder, topped with a 4
BBL Carb, and running through dual Exhaust. Pontiac, basically cut a 389 V8 in
half...in fact, it uses the same head as the 389 and the 421. In this case,
the four cylinder is backed by a four-speed manual and a set of 3.73 Gears
with Posi. As you can see, it really is a great looking car and would look
right at home on the dragstrip in the 1960's. I hope you find it

This is a video of an awesome 9 Second, 1962 Pontiac Catalina. This Super
Stock Pontiac was racing in the Nostalgia Drags at Gateway Motorsports
Park, just outside of St. Louis, MO. It's an original 421 Super Duty car
and man do they have it set up right. This thing hooks hard and leaves
straight every time. Definitely nothing wrong with a mid 9 second quarter
mile at 143 mph. I thought you might get a kick out of that huge wheelie he

1965 Pontiac Tempest Wagon
Here's a 65 Tempest wagon in amazing shape! It has a numbers matching 326ci
V8 and a fresh 200-R4 4 speed automatic transmission! The engine has 18,000
miles on it since the rebuild so everything is in tip top condition! The
car only has 92,000 original miles. The paint is in fantastic shape,
especially considering it's 47 years old! It has restored 7x14 Rally II
wheels with BFG tires, a new power brake system, new power steering pump,
new power rear window motor, and tons of other new parts. The entire car
has been gone through and is entirely mechanically sound. The interior has
been restored using much of the original vinyl, has new carpet, a new
headliner, new arm rests, and the AM radio works! Other options include
front and rear sway bars, new 2 1/2 inch Exhaust and new splitters, new windshield and
heater core, and way too much to list! Comes with a 4 barrel setup as well!
This thing is ready for a road trip!
PONTIAC - "The Super Duty Story" Part 1 of 3
Pontiac had an SD engine program in the late 50s early 60s, and
later/briefly again in 1973/74 with the SD455. This video is regarding the
FIRST Super Duty program.---In only a few years time during the late 50s
early 60s, Pontiac MORE THAN DOUBLED their V8's horsepower output (described
in this video), while using/keeping the same V8 engine block they used thru
1955-81. Even though the same block was kept, from 1955-62 the cubic inch
displacement grew much larger than the initial 287 cuber it started as in
1955. It grew to a 317 347 370 389 and finally a 421 cuber in 1962. It
eventually maxed out at 455 cubes in 1970. By 1970 ALL the other GM
divisions were producing engines at 454 or 455 cubes (500 for Cadillac).
PONTIAC WAS THE ONLY DIVISION still using the same block they used in the
1950s on engines that had a much smaller displacement -- 287 cubes. The
1955 287 displacement would remain the smallest displacement ever used in
the Pontiac V8 block all the way until 1980/81 when a 265V8 was produced.
Since less durability was required for the smaller displacement, the block
was decked/butchered/lightened on the 265/301v8s of 1980/81. Prior to 1980
the block had never been decked/butchered/lightened. The 1980/81 265/301v8
blocks were about 200 pounds lighter than the 1955-79 blocks, and only 25
pounds heavier than a Buick 231V6.

Drag Racing 2011 - Peter Svensson 5.964 seconds New European Top Fuel Bike Record - NitrOlympX
With the return of the UEM championship also Peter Svensson returned to the
Hockenheim Quartermile with his completely self-built 4-cylinder
nitro-burning racing machine.
Two years ago he tore down the 6-sec-barrier for Top Fuel Bikes in Europe
without being able to set a record.
Watch Peter Svensson blasting the old Hockenheim Quartermile Top Fuel Bike
track record to pieces off the trailer, then cutting down another tenth of
a second in his third qualifying run before he lit up the 5.96 setting a
new European Elapsed Time record in the last qualifying session.
Sunday afternoon after the rain intermission he also set a new European Top
Speed record for Top Fuel Bikes. Unfortunately I was already on my way
