Camaro Fights Mustang and Challenger - Muscle Car Comparison
MORE MUSCLE CAR MADNESS @ INSIDELINE.COM:
In 2002, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second human being to set foot on the moon, punched a guy in the face for accusing him of faking the moon landing. Buzz was 72 years old at the time.
Go right ahead and question the existence of the 2010 Ford Mustang GT, 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T and 2010 Chevy Camaro SS and they, too, might just give you a knuckle sandwich in the kisser. Like Mr. Aldrin, they bear names from long ago that have made a collective return to the limelight. Like Mr. Aldrin, they are American heroes with unparalleled legacies reaching across decades. And like Mr. Aldrin, they have Ph.Ds in kicking ass.
Their makers may have proven that they have the financial acumen of a blind yak. However, we submit these pony car icons as proof that the home team can extract their craniums from their nether regions once in awhile and knock the cover off the ball.
Challenger New vs. Old: Vanishing Point Revisited
"Our sole Challenger has just broken the ring of evil the deep blue meanies
have so righteously wrought — get through 'em baby, get through 'em." —
Super Soul, Vanishing Point 1971
It happens deep in the Nevada desert, just past Austin. On a long, straight
section of road with nothing to lose, our friends in the white 1970 Dodge
Challenger R/T finally put the hammer down. At once, the rawness and purity
of Kowalski's ride pulverizes the well-insulated interior of our 2008 Dodge
Challenger SRT8, shredding the peace inside the modern car's cockpit with
the same brute force Kowalski used to pierce a hole in the cool desert air
38 years ago. Even with my right foot buried, I see nothing but taillights
until they disappear into the desert.
In these few brief seconds, the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is clearly
defined by its soft edges and quiet Exhaust. Manufacturers don't let us feel cars
raw and unfiltered anymore. Hammering down a desert road with a thin-rimmed
steering wheel and pistol-grip shifter — that's raw. Four hundred and
forty cubic inches and a four-speed — that's raw. Powerslides unhampered
by electronic intervention — that's raw.
In 1970, when Kowalski drove this very road — U.S. Highway 50 through
Nevada — he felt it. And it was raw.
Big Trucks Duke it Out: Full Size Pickup Comparison
MORE FULL SIZE TRUCK COMPARO @ INSIDELINE.COM:
We see it every Friday during our evening commute. A stream of vehicles
choking the freeway, headed out to the Mojave Desert or the Colorado River
for some well-earned weekend stress relief.
The fun varies, from camping to dirt-bike riding to water-skiing. But the
vehicle that invariably gets tasked with hauling the corresponding
equipment is a full-size pickup truck. You know, like the 2009 Chevrolet
Silverado 1500, 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, 2009 Ford F-150 or 2009 Toyota Tundra.
Sure, we talk about the virtues of the minivan as a family hauler, and
there are many. But the minivan stands no chance against a looming 25-foot
camping trailer. And SUVs are easily flummoxed by motocross bikes and the
need to carry their smelly gas cans (or anything that's remotely dirty,
actually) in the vehicle's cargo area.
There's nothing like a pickup, with its big bin in back that doesn't care
what you toss into it. And the truck is sure to be around long after the
full-frame SUV falls completely out of favor and descends into the
three-row car-based sensibility that is the crossover.
Mustang v 370Z SMACKDOWN: Ford Mustang GT vs. Nissan 370Z
FULL Mustang V 370Z COMPARO
When we last left the 2009 Nissan 370Z, it had just laid a drubbing on
BMW's little 135i. We then proclaimed, "The 2009 Nissan 370Z raises the
standard for the sport coupe segment to a new level of affordable
Time to get more serious. It's V8 time. Who's in? Let's see, no Camaro, and a Challenger is not
available (don't ask), so that leaves the freshly updated 2010 Ford Mustang GT, a car whose very
existence is predicated upon wallet-friendly performance.
Perhaps a reinvigorated veteran can take down the newly crowned king. The
particulars might differ — four seats versus two, V8 versus V6 — but
the mission is the same. And the 2009 Nissan 370Z and 2010 Ford Mustang GT are priced closer than you

MPG is still what you think about when you drive a 2010 Toyota Prius.
You can't stop watching the hybrid car's instant fuel economy bar graph. In
the 2010 Prius, this graph has moved from the navigation screen to the
dash-top instrument panel, so playing the Prius mpg game doesn't force you
to take your eyes far from the road ahead. It's fun in a way that Jeff
Jarvis, the author of What Would Google Do?, would surely understand.

Shelby GT500 Crushes Camaro SS! - Drag Race Showdown

was an unfair race given the horsepower disparity. But

how the underdog Chevy stacks up.

Mustang VS Oklahoma Highway Patrol
A stolen Mustang is driven
by a really good driver and goes to show cops arent always the best
drivers. The only reason he got stop was b/c the stop sign was wrapped
around his axel. If he would of got out of that he would of been gone.
