When introduced, it created the market niche eventually known as the personal luxury car. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolet's new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present yet another iconic 1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. This fine Bird is a rare "P" code dual quad carb vehicle that was the predecessor to the "E" Bird, which was available only in 1957. We have never seen another T-Bird with this option. The T-Bird comes to us from the dry state of Utah, complete with a factory hardtop and many power options, is a beautiful, correct restoration that has been regularly maintained and is ready to hit the open road! It is very presentable and perfect for a cruiser that you can drive and park anywhere! Finished in the original color of Colonial White, the paint appears to have been professionally repainted in the recent past and is in great condition, only showing minor imperfections such as small rock chips. The body is in beautiful, straight shape all the way down to the fender skirts! The factory hard top is also in great condition. The chrome is in great shape as well, only showing minor imperfections. This 50s icon is sure to turn heads no matter where you take it! Inside, the interior is finished in the original color combination of red and white vinyl. It should be noted that the interior has been newly upholstered and looks great! The seats are in great condition, showing no signs of wear or tear. The red carpet looks great, as do the door panels. The dashboard appears original and houses original gauges along with an oil pressure and water temperature gauge beneath the dash. This car is equipped with power windows. There also is a Town & Country radio in the dashboard which looks great. It should be noted that the horn is inoperable. Under the hood, you'll find "P Code" 312 cubic inch V8 powerhouse with the optional and rarely seen High Power Engine Kit B6A-900-B which includes dual Holly 4V carburetors for a total of 235HP. The vehicle also includes a rarely seen Ford Thunderbird Special High Performance Radiator. This T-Bird has power steering and front disc power brakes. The car sits upon a set of 15" red steel wheels with chrome Ford hubcaps, which look excellent! The wheels are wrapped in beautiful 6.70-15 white wall tires that really set off the nostalgic look of the car. This Thunderbird is a true classic and icon of the 50s era! It would be an excellent addition to any classic car collection or would make a fabulous Sunday driver. The VIN is P5FH285595 and the mileage currently shows 66,901. It is being sold on a clean and clear, mileage exempt Utah title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

Finally starting up my 1977 T-Bird again after a whole year!
Hey everyone, I finally got a chance to start up my T-Bird and give it a spin. It has been way too long. Last time I started it was Sept. last year (2010). Starts up again without really any problems, small fuel leak, 40 second fix. lol. Here is the history of my t-bird: My dad bought it for his first car and he stopped driving it in 1989 because of some carb problems. My dad saved the car for me and in 2004 I had the chance to get it running again. To my surprise, after not running for 15 years, I poured gas down the carb and it fired right over!!!!! After I bypassed the gas lines (old gas in them) I had it running like new. Haha, first time I put it in gear it squealed the tires and jumped forward a couple feet!!! I make sure I have the break to the floor before I put it in gear now! Later in 2004 I brought the car in to a mechanic to have the tranny flushed, but because of my lack of car knowledge I found out the hard way that you don't do that to a old car. It now has tranny problems, sometimes it wont stay in gear. Which really sucks because the tranny was working beyond perfect before. It still has the minor carb problems mentioned above too. And so I parked it in the storage shed in the video and it is waiting for me to have the money and time to continue rebuilding it.

5th Scale BurnOut Time! FG Dragster Test Runs
Finally, I'm taking my FG Dragster out for a testrun. The dragster is powered by a BZM 28.5 Torque Tuned engine which I dropped in a FG Sportsline 2WD. I've converted my Sportsline chassis to a 1970's Dodge Challenger, with lots of custom parts. In the video series you will be able to follow this build from the very start, to the point where it will finally start burning some rubber! The custom servo setup works great, the BZM has massive torque, and I love running this scaled down muscle car! A few alterations will be made in the future, such as a bit thicker diff oil, and perhaps a different clutch to make it engage a bit more aggressively. For a first run, I was more than satisfied and this ride is everything I hoped it to be. 1/4 scale pacesetter dragster build

Drag Racer FG Muscle Car - Combining Diecast and RC
I get started on my next project, another largescale onroad car. It's an FG Sportsline 2WD 530. This car is going to be turned into a 1970 Dodge Challenger! In order to get the look I want, I decided to mix some diecast in with the RC. I use a diecast supercharged V8 engine, that you can find for anywhere between 30 and 40 dollars, to start my build with. The diecast engine will be mounted over the front shock tower, covering up some of the brake mechanics. I improvise the mounting of the piece, and tell you what kind of tools I used and issues I ran into. The engine will be looks only, the powerplant of the car will be replaced with a special, more powerful unit during the build. This build is going to have a ton of special features, a few of them rather unique, and I will take you through the whole build process step by step so if you want to, you can follow along.
