2013 NSW Formula Vee Championship - Round 5 - Race 1
Start Position: 4th, Finish Position: 4th, Best Lap: 1:14.6014 (FL) Location: Sydney Motorsport Park (North Circuit) I had a collision on the first lap with #22 and fell back to 13th. I was going to go deep into the corner and go around the outside while the others were fighting over the inside, but #22 moved over to the outside and braked sooner to take a different line and I got caught out. Completely my fault... my stopping distance probably wasn't helped too much by an oily rear disc caused by a failed rear axle bearing that we had just fixed. Sick with a stomach bug all weekend, Kyle Keenan (Purple #44, camera car) and Tom Ferrara (Green #00) decided to start at the back of the pack for Saturday's Super Touring Race. Kyle wins STU, Tom wins STL, and the pair had an awesome battle around the track.

Original 1976 LeGrand Mk22 Formula Vee
This is an original 1976 Le Grand Mk22 built by Aldin 'Red' LeGrand in 1976 and raced in 1977. I am trying to find history, pictures and stories on this vintage FV race car for its future restoration. The car has chrome front end and chrome rear transmission axels, the original transmission is not in the video but I have and is been inspected for gearing. The trailer also is really neat, simple but great detail in function. The trailer came with the race car and looks to be in the same area. Some people who I am looking to contact that may know are the following: Robin LeGrand, Bob Campbell, Andy Mahood, Slim Peperdine, anyone who has knowledge regarding Le Grand and KWIC. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you

First Formula Vee Drive - PA Hill Climb/SCCA Time Trials (Spring Jefferson at Summit Point)
1st place, 1st time driving the Maloney Racing Mk 2.5 Lazer and 1st TT event. Thanks Hughie for all the generous support! This was my final set of laps which were good enough for 1st place that weekend (after only getting to run the first day). I was only a couple tenths off the lap record held by my friend Chris Elwell. My main priority was to learn the limits of the car without incident. (there are some laps where I was experimenting and not following a perfect line intentionally)





VSCDA Blackhawk Farms 6 17 12 Turn 6 Incident
Two views (including slow motion) of a racing incident at the VSCDA Blackhawk Vintage Classic in South Beloit, Illinois USA during the Bill Milner Memorial Formula Vee Race on 6/17/2012. Car #33 (Lynx Formlula Vee) touches wheels with, then flies over car #07 (Zink C-4 Formula Vee) with left rear wheel striking car #07 driver on the helmet. The video was posted by the driver of car #07 (Ted Sodergren) who escaped with neck strain and pain. Ted credits his Bell Helmet, HANS device and arm restraints for the relatively minor injuries (watch the wheel hit the helmet in the first clip). Both cars sustained fairly serious body and suspension damage, but were on-track by the VSCDA Grattan, Michigan race 6 weeks later. GoPro video courtesy of: Eric Dean and Jeff Tschiltsch.
