2013 Mazda3 vs Jeep Wrangler Snowstorm Winter Tire Mashup Test
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Mazda3 and the new Jeep Wrangler don't have a lot on common. In fact they are about as different as two cars can be. The Jeep Wrangler is an old school body on frame off-road behemoth while the Mazda3 is a perky small run about. So which one of these is better in the snow? We decided to find out in another fun and interesting TFLcar mashup test. To make it a fair contest we of course got a set of dedicated snow tires for the front-wheel-drive Mazda but kept the stock set of all season tires on the 4X4 Jeep. To make it even more fair we kept the jeep Wrangler in two-wheel-drive and headed to Lick Skillet Road (America's steepest country Road) in a snowstorm. So which of these two cars conquered the Colorado Mountain road? You'll have to watch this video to find out.

All New 2014 Mazda 3 Quick Tour
New Mazda 3 features Mazda 6 design, efficient engines and internet connectivity, with hybrid and saloon to follow later this year The all-new Mazda 3 has been revealed, featuring a Mazda 6 inspired design and a new internet-connected infotainment system. Pictures of the new car were leaked onto a Czech website ahead of simultaneous Mazda 3 events being held in London, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, New York and Melbourne. The swept-back headlights and large shield grille are all part of what Mazda calls its Kodo design language, and while it definitely helps create a stylish and well-proportioned car, it could be too easily mistaken for the larger Mazda 6. In the metal though the new car looks good. Initially launched as a five-door hatch back a saloon version will join the range shortly afterwards and is likely to be the biggest global seller due to its popularity in markets like China, Russia and the U.S. The cabin has been updated to improve the material quality and design, and now features technology such as a heads-up display. A longer wheelbase and improved packaging means there's more space in all dimensions for passengers and a 350-litre boot -- 10 litres more than the old car. Buyers can also specify an upgraded infotainment system, which gets internet connectivity for the first time on a Mazda. It allows drivers to use services such as Aha, which plays podcasts and audio books as well as linking to Facebook and Twitter feeds. It works via a redesigned rotary control on the centre console and a stylish seven-inch colour touch screen that sits on top of the dash. • Mazda 6 review The big news under the bonnet is the introduction of a completely new 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G petrol engine. It boasts 99bhp and can accelerate the new 3 from 0-62mph in 10.8 seconds. There's also the same 2.0-litre petrol -- with 118bhp or 163bhp -- and 2.2-litre diesel from the 6 range. The range-topping diesel versions complete the sprint from 0-60mph in just 8.1 seconds in manual guise but the six-speed automatic is significantly slower - taking 9.7 seconds with the same engine. Mazda hasn't announced any efficiency or emissions figures yet but is promising it should be among the best in class for all engines. Considering the larger, heavier 6 manages 67.3mpg and 109g/km, in the 3 it should be sub-100g/km and over 70mpg. Meanwhile, we're expecting the 1.5-litre petrol unit to offer figures of around 115g/km and 60mpg. When asked about a smaller SKYACTIV diesel Mazda Europe CEO Jeff Guyton told Auto Express: "Certainly that is the biggest part of the market. I would say there was room for it. The C-segment is kind of half and half when it comes to petrol versus diesel, but given our market footprint I think we will probably sell more petrol than diesel, but we may expand our diesel range at some point. He also revealed that there would be a hybrid Mazda model by the end of the year - which is likely to be a version of the new Mazda 3 - saying: "I imagine our hybrids will be more along the efficiency route because our biggest markets in the US and Japan, the hybrid route in those countries tends to be more about efficiency. There are clearly examples of hybrid high-performance but I think that's not the volume end of the business." In keeping with the dynamics of the 6 and CX-5 SUV, Mazda is promising it has worked hard on making the 3 great to drive. It's lighter and has new suspension to Boost everything from comfort to agility. The power steering and pedals have all been retuned to feel more natural, too, and refinement is reportedly improved with new sound insulation. Unlike base models of rivals like the new Volkswagen Golf and SEAT Leon the Mazda comes with a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension setup on every model in the range, and all cars also get disc brakes all round - which should help give it a dynamic advantage out on the road. Guyton also hinted at the possibility of a return of the MPS high-performance model saying: " I would say that there is some open space around that - but I wouldn't really talk about it too much at this stage. It's much easier to take a vehicle that has been packaged for it and then to say - ok what can we do with this now? The 2.2-litre diesel won't be exactly like the MPS was, but it's going to be very strong, it's going to be quick" It also comes with a range of optional active safety technology including radar guided cruise control, autonomous emergency braking at low speeds, along with lane departure assist and front and rear sensors that alert the driver if you stray too close to other traffic. The new Mazda 3 goes on sale in the autumn and while prices haven't been confirmed, it'll probably cost from around £16,000.

2014 Mazda3 vs Subaru Impreza 0-60 MPH Matchup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Mazda3 and the 2014 Subaru Impreza directly compete against each other. They are also two of the slowest cars that we've ever tested at a mile above sea level....at least the previous generation of both vehicles. The current cars both feature fuel efficient 2.0L engine so they both get exceptional fuel economy. However there are very important differences. The Subaru uses a CVT transmission and comes with all-wheel-drive while the Mazda is front-wheel-drive and had a more traditional 6 speed automatic. So which of these two brand new economy cars is the most fuel efficient? That's easy to find out but which one is faster? Mazda CX-3 review : First Drive
http://www.caradvice.com.au/324106/?yt_desc - Read the article here. The Mazda CX-3 has taken its time to join the small SUV class, but it certainly makes up for lost time. CarAdvice was among the first media in the world to drive the new CX-3 at the Anglesea proving ground in Victoria, Australia. The engine line-up includes a 2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, with front and all-wheel-drive versions available. Up front the Mazda CX-3 shares its interior design with the new Mazda 2, which is no bad thing as it looks funky and cool. The Mazda CX-3 sits between Mazda 2 and Mazda 3, wearing a price tag of $22-32,000 when it arrives in showrooms in the second quarter of 2015.

2014 / 2015 Mazda Mazda3 Review and Road Test
Check out more videos: http://vid.io/xqoB Upcoming reviews: http://vid.io/xqxl Best cars in 2014: http://vid.io/xqxe Latest Mazda3 video: http://youtu.be/ILLrQhtLTKo Facebook: http://facebook.com/alexonautos Twitta: http://twitter.com/alexonautos Web: http://alexonautos.com The mainstream compact car segment is the perfect example of the infamous "driving appliance." The Corolla and Civic sell in enormous volume because they are the middle-of-the-road "white bread" option, not in-spite of the vanilla. Unlike many in the automotive press, I don't find anything wrong with that. In fact, I love me some Wonder Bread. But sometimes you feel like a pumpernickel, and that's where the 2014 Mazda3 comes in. Mazda was so excited about their new loaf that they invited me to spend the day with them in San Diego. Want to know if you should spend 5+ years with one? Accounting for 30% of Mazda's worldwide volume, calling the Mazda3 their most important product would be putting things lightly. As a result 2014 brings a complete overhaul to every aspect of the 3 and the compact sedan now rides on a platform derived from the larger 6. The "Kodo" design language of the larger sedan has also been brought down to its smaller stablemate to astonishing effect. While the old Mazda3 was all smiles and bubbles, the new 3 is all grown up and aggressive with Mazda's incredibly attractive grille. Before the 3′s release I was quite torn about who was the fairest of them all but now there is no contest. The base engine for 2014 is a 2.0L 155 horse four-cylinder that's good for 150 lb-ft of twist and 30/41/34 MPG (City/Highway/Combined) with the 6-speed automatic. If you have the cash you can upgrade to the 2.5L engine (shared with the CX-5 and Mazda6) which bumps these numbers up to 184 horses and 185 lb-ft while dropping fuel economy to 28/39/32. With pricing that ranges from $16,945 (sedan) to a hair under $30,000 (loaded hatch) if you check all the option boxes on a Mazda3 hatch, it's obvious the Mazda spans the price spectrum from white bread in a bag to a paper-wrapped organic artisan cheesy sourdough. Like the Ford Focus, this large price span means the $19,495 iSport and $20,645 iTouring compete with the bulk of Corolla/Civic shoppers while the upper level trims compete with the Ford Focus, Acura ILX, Lexus CT200h, Buick Verano, and the few that shopped Volvo's defunct C30. Compared to the Civic and Corolla, the Mazda3 delivers superior dynamics and more premium dash materials in exchange for less tech and no touchscreen infotainment. This is a dangerous trade in a segment known for placing features before fun. On the flip side, the Mazda3 has everything it needs to compete with the Focus, ILX, Verano and CT200h. Mazda's chassis tuning makes the Mazda the most fun to drive (even considering the ILX 2.4′s Civic Si roots), the infotainment system is entry-level luxury worthy and 2014 brings all full-speed range radar cruise control and ever gadget the Buick and Lexus shopper could want. So is the Mazda3 the perfect pumpernickel for Wonder Bread prices? As good as. Civirolla shoppers who can be convinced to cross-shop will be pleased with Mazda's sexy exterior, comfortable seats and road manners, but those after large seats and large trunks will return to the white bread alternative. I suspect the near luxury shoppers are the ones that will miss out the most however thinking that nothing this tasty could come in a package with a Mazda logo on it. Their loss.

2014 Mazda3 6-speed Review, Walkaround, Exhaust, & Test Drive
Seductive style, a high-quality interior, best-in-class fuel efficiency, and sporty driving dynamics make the redesigned 2014 Mazda3 a top pick if those are your main priorities when choosing a compact car. Only buyers looking for the roomiest rear seat or a slightly cheaper price tag will find more to like with its competitors.
