New Audi A4 allroad quattro 2012 Teaser [HD] (Option Auto News)
New Audi A4 allroad quattro 2012
Audi will initially offer three different engines for the A4 allroad quattro: a gasoline unit and two diesel engines. All three are turbocharged with direct fuel-injection as per the TFSI or TDI principle. They are impressive for their excellent performance, impressive pulling power, smooth running, and high fuel efficiency.
The 2.0 TFSI -- voted "Engine of the Year" on four consecutive occasions by an international panel of experts -- incorporates three high-end technologies in this latest stage of its evolution: FSI direct gasoline injection, turbocharging, and the Audi valvelift system, which Boosts pulling power by variably controlling the Exhaust valves' lift. Direct fuel injection and turbocharging have been a successful combination at Audi for years, as the R8 racing car has demonstrated with its triumphs at the Le Mans 24 Hours and many other events.
High compression ratio: Ensuring excellent efficiency
In the high-volume engine as well, this technological twosome is a perfect solution. Injected at a pressure of 150 bar in the 2.0 TFSI and then swirled by flaps, the gasoline vaporizes and thus removes heat from the combustion chambers -- this in turn solves the conventional turbocharging problem of engine knock. This facilitates a compression ratio of 9.6:1 for excellent efficiency.
The 2.0 TFSI, which delivers power from a displacement of 1,984 cm3, provides additional high-tech features. All components have been designed to minimize friction and the oil pump works very efficiently. The crankcase weighs just over 30 kilograms (66 pounds). Two balance shafts contribute to excellent refinement, and the intake camshaft can be adjusted by 60 degrees.
The turbocharger and its Intercooler have been optimized for sporty responsiveness and a high efficiency ratio. Between 1,500 and 4,200 rpm, the four-cylinder engine delivers 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque to the crankshaft. Peak output is 155 kW (211 hp). In conjunction with the S tronic dual-clutch transmission, the 2.0 TFSI propels the Audi A4 allroad quattro to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 6.9 seconds, and to a top speed of 230 km/h (142.92 mph). On average, it consumes a mere 8.1 liters of fuel per 100 km (29.04 U.S. mpg).

New AUDI S4 Limousine 2012
The Audi S4, available in the Sedan and Avant versions, employs the most
powerful engine in the line -- the 3.0 TFSI with 245 kW (333 hp) and 440 Nm
(324.53 lb-ft) torque. The Sedan's average fuel consumption is a mere 8.0
liters per 100 km (29.40 US mpg) -- with an impressive performance: The S4
accelerates in 5.0 seconds from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) and achieves
an electronically limited maximum speed of 250 km/h (155.34 mph).
The modified Audi S4 is identifiable from the changes to the headlights,
the bumpers, the air inlets and colors. The interior also contains subtle
changes in appearance. The S sport suspension and 18-inch wheels featured
on the S4 deliver outstanding road grip.
The prices of the A4 have changed only slightly, despite the extensive
upgrading. For example, the A4 2.0 TFSI costs just 475 euros more -- the
sporty Sedan is now listed at 35,425 euros.

Sporty and efficient, youthful and communicative, emotional and individual.
A new member of the successful A1 family is scheduled to launch in early
2012 -- the five-door Audi A1 Sportback.
The Audi A1 Sportback, which will be rolling into showrooms in early 2012,
is the five-door compact Audi for a young, urban public. The close
relationship with its three-door sister model is evident in the design, the
structure of the lightweight body and the dimensions of the new model,
which measures 3.95 meters (12.96 ft) in length. It is several millimeters
taller and thus offers more space in the rear seats. The Audi A1 Sportback
comes standard with four seats. A fifth seat is available on request at no
Buyers can choose between three TFSI gasoline and three TDI diesel engines
producing between 63 kW (86 hp) and 136 kW (185 hp). Audi pairs some
engines with the lightning-fast, seven-speed S tronic transmission.
The A1 Sportback also features many high-end solutions in terms of controls
and infotainment, including Audi connect. If the high-end media center MMI
navigation plus is combined with the Bluetooth online car phone, the car
can be connected to the Internet.
The A1 Sportback features a light and youthful interior that can be
customized with fresh colors and many attractive design details to reflect
the customer's own personal style. The base price for the five-door model

AUDI A4 Limousine 2012 Exterior
The Audi A4 -- in sedan and Avant form -- is a winner in the mid-size
category. Its available engines offer strong performance coupled with high
efficiency. They are every bit an expression of the brand's technical
expertise as are the sporty handling and the numerous convenience and
infotainment features taken directly from the full-size category.
The A4 is a customer favorite. This past spring, the five millionth model
built since the A4 designation for the model series was introduced in 1994
rolled off the assembly line at Audi's Ingolstadt plant. The readers of
auto, motor und sport named the A4/A5 model series best in its category in
the voting for the "Best Cars of 2011."
Body and interior
The Audi A4 is a spacious automobile. Its body, comprising mostly
high-strength and ultra high-strength steels, is rigid, lightweight and
safe. The sedan offers a trunk capacity of 480 liters (16.95 cu ft).
Capacity with the rear seat backs folded down (a standard feature in the
quattro versions) is 962 liters (33.97 cu ft). The A4 Avant offers 490 and
1,430 liters (17.30 and 50.50 cubic ft), respectively.
The interior offers all of the classic strengths of the brand, with
uncompromising fit and finish and logical, intuitive controls. When
equipped with a navigation system, the A4 features a color monitor and the
MMI operating system. Audi offers the luxurious climate-controlled comfort
seats as an option for the driver and front-seat passenger. Small fans
provide six-speed ventilation to the seat cushion and back.
The A4 model series has a particularly broad engine lineup with 13
powerplants. All of them feature direct-fuel injection and, with the
exception of the most powerful 3.2 FSI engine, are also turbocharged.
The V6 and the 2.0 TFSI feature different versions of the Audi valvelift
system, which uses two-stage variable valve lift to increase torque. A
start-stop system is standard with many of the engines; all come standard
with a recuperation system.
The most efficient model in the A4 lineup is the 2.0 TDI with 100 kW (136
hp). In the sedan, the four-cylinder diesel producing 320 Nm (236.02 lb-ft)
of torque consumes just 4.4 liters of diesel per 100 km (53.46 US mpg) on
average, a CO2 equivalent of just 115 grams per km (185.07 g/mile). The
model features the know-how from Audi's modular efficiency platform.
Two other particularly environmentally compatible engines join the 2.0 TDI
in the A4 lineup. A sophisticated purification system in the A4 3.0 TDI
clean diesel quattro largely eliminates nitrides of oxygen so that the V6
diesel satisfies all U.S. emission standards and also the future Euro 6
standard. The A4 2.0 TFSI flexible fuel is also designed for operation on
bioethanol E 85.
