$400 SAAB, installed a set of EBC race brakes, put on the race Exhaust and the next step will be all the safety
equipment. We will be going to Alston Race Cars in Antioch to get the snow
leopard (our internal codename for the carbeque) measured for the roll
cage. They do amazing work. In the meantime we will begin to devise our
cooker box that'll turn the 900 into a real Carbeque. Until then, enjoy!

On a brisk Utah morning, at the base of a ski resort, we spent some time
with a Saab 900 SPG. Owner, Jordan Melville, dives into his love for Saab,
detailing how he brought this 900 back from the brink of the wrecking yard
to experience the car as if it were brand new.While modern day Saab
struggles to keep their cars on the road, Jordan's 900 SPG keeps the flame

Drive It! took a real rarity onto the race track: a front-wheel-drive Saab
900 turbo boasting 300 horsepower with a peak
torque of 500 Nm. This Saab is a real competition car. Trimmed down to a
weight of around one ton it can feel at home on any circuit. Amateur racing
driver Nico Gasparatos shows what the Saab can do.
1985 Saab 900 SPG - Megasquirt 2 Extra Rev Limiter
Testing the spark cut Rev Limiter in Megasquirt 2 Extra on my 1985 Saab 900
SPG. The rev limiter was set to 5000rpm which was too low and I was hitting
it too easily. I have since raised it to 6000 rpm which is much better.
The day after I made this video my transmission exploded. 3rd gear sheered
off because of pinion bearing failure. Just before the video ends when I
release the clutch with the gearbox in neutral you can hear the pinion

The Saab GT is very rare; there are not much GT's left.
