8 Second Toyota Corolla Drag Race Crash - CAR TOTAL LOSS, or not?
Update: Just found out, before I even got this video up the car already had a new front end and the rear quarter panel donor was already at their shop. Talk about dedication!
Corolla ends up crashing at the end of the track, driver ok, car not so lucky.

Chris Theo was very lucky to escape unscathed from this unfortunate accident at Heathcote Park. The very well built V8 powered Holden LX hatchback Torana didn't fare so well.

Scary Big Rig Race Crash June 2002 Calgary. (Crash at the 2:00 mark)
One of the scariest moments I caught in all my 25 years covering racing at Race City. Look for #76, the star and stripes Peterbilt get pinched and wrecked into the corner three wall at the 1:59 mark. Fortunately the driver suffered only minor injuries despite having to be rescued by safety crew with jaws of life. The destruction was staggering, however the truck cockpit stayed together due in part to the construction and thought given to protecting the driver. The race was red flagged in less than five seconds, Race City recue crew was on his truck in less than 30 seconds. I will follow this up with an interview with Mike (the racer) I conducted a year later...

The FORD on the left loses control just before the 1/8th mile or 60ft mark and wipes out almost taking the DATSUN with it . These turbo cars have extreme power !
A truly 'bizarre' Drag Racing Accident
Jacque Bidard, an experienced drag racer, knocks himself 'out-cold' during a ferocious start line launch and, whilst still unconscious, he unfortunately keeps his foot firmly planted on the throttle pedal - with disastrous results!

The little gemini hit the wall in the powerskid at powercruise 35 at eastern creek, sydney. The rear bumper just nicked the wall. He rips a nice burnout at the end. Check out part 2 for the damage

2012 NHRA Pro-Stock - Huge Flip and Airborne Wreck
Thanks to darcyf1.com. No copyright infringement intended. Shane Gray comes down the drag-strip, gets loose, flips and hits the wall hard and while up-side down goes airborne and comes back on its wheels and smashes the wall again. He was ok.
