STS Rear Mount Turbo Lag Demonstration
I hope this video can bust the myth of rear mount turbo's being laggy. Full Boost @ right around 3000rpm. (yes that's right 3k!) '95 LT1 Camaro with 4 speed 4L60e automatic. Motor is stock and has ~160k miles. In some of the clips, you'll notice a short pause of the needle before going into Boost, this is the transmission downshifting. Other clips do not have this because I manually selected 2nd gear. *EDIT Shortly after making this video, I discovered that half the intake manifold bolts were loose and that the manifold was lifting under Boost.
