This is the man who built up Britain's most expensive car wash -- from his mum's GARAGE. Car fanatic Gurcharn Sahota, 30, started cleaning neighbours' motors for FREE with a bucket and sponge when he was a teenager. Gurcharn has now built his own Formula 1 style pit garage where wealthy drivers pay up to £7,000-a-time for a luxury car wash. He travels with up to 100 different cleaning fluids that need special clearance at customs. The wax alone he uses costs a cool £8,200 a tub.
Hood Pin Install 1987 Pontiac Trans Am
We decided to install some hood pins on our 1987 Pontiac Trans Am project car. The hood took a pretty good hit from a deer and we were a bit worried about the latch mechanism. Also, my son has always wanted a car with hood pins anyway. We still may replace the factory hood with a fiberglass hood, but we can just drill it out and reuse our same pins. Quadratec: Daystar Hood Pin Kit
Daystar's Hood Pin Kits utilize Polyurethane grommets that help keep the hood isolated from its attachment points. Without these grommets, fiberglass hoods tend to crack around their mounting points. The grommet allows a certain amount of give that enables the fiberglass to flex as needed, yet still maintain a positive attachment. The kit includes a 5/8" diameter steel pin along with stainless steel fasteners to attach the grommet to the hood. A spring retaining clip rounds out the kit.
