1969 BRITISH SALOON CARS CRYSTAL PALACE
BBC footage of the 1969 british national saloon car championship from crystal palace with commentary from Murry walker. This is a great video and I wish motorsport was a bit more like this these days and less technical and money orientated.
Sunbeam Imp Historic Racer Debut/shakedown
First test of our new GP 2 FIA Sunbeam Imp Sport. This car is a replica of the famous George Bevan / Bill McGovern BTCC-winning Imp of the 70s. The track is Rudskogen, the race is a round in the Norwegian Championship for Historic Racing incorporating classes from 1961-76, from a 1000cc Opel Kadett to a 76 Broadspeed Capri. The gearbox is a spare, with totally wrong ratios, so it wasn't exactly a bullet out of some of the corners - but will be remedied for the next race.
1981 Tricentrol RAC British Saloon Car Championship (Group 1) part 1
Extremely rare footage (it took me over ten years to find some!) featuring a part review (6 rounds) of the 1981 Tricentrol BSCC season, the last but one season run to Group 1 regulations. The video covers the battles between the Gordon Spice Racing, Equipe Esso, Daily Express/CS-H/Rouse Capri's, the TWR/Daily Express and Martin Thomas/Patrick Motor sport Rover V8's,and the TWR Mazda RX7 of eventual overall series champion, Win Percy.
