1970 Plymouth Road Runner

Many consider the '70 to be the toughest looking RR ever. My understanding is the car was an accident. Chrysler wanted the '71 bodies to appear in '70 but someting happened and this body was made. I'm thinking NASCAR and the Superbirds presence had something to do with it. Superbirds & 69 Daytonas did exceptionally well in 70 given an aerodynamic drag coefficient that rivals today's cars. 0.29 I think or 0.27 - can't remember right now. The '71s couldn't hold a candle to the speed and agility of the 69 Daytonas & 70 Superbirds. Corrections accepted and posted. Taken 21 October 2011.
