Man Transforms 'Back To The Future' Cars Into Bizarre Creations Barcroft Cars - The Home Of Amazing Car Stories Online SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/1sHvkD5 A MAN who collects DeLorean cars has transformed the classic Back To The Future vehicles into a monster truck, a limousine, a hovercraft, a convertible and a Time Machine Replica. Rich Weissensel, a software engineer, is fanatic about the two-door sports car and owns five custom creations – including a stretched DeLorean Limousine - and three stock DeLoreans. The 50-year-old has re-modeled the stainless-steel shape of the iconic cars into bizarre and brilliant automotive creations in an ongoing, 14-year series of projects. The projects started after Rich met the car's founder John DeLorean at the Cleveland DeLorean Car Show in 2000 and showed him some of his ideas and sketches. Rich from Chicago, Illinois, built a custom hovercraft using the stainless steel panels of the DeLorean and a hovercraft cushion which allows the DeLorean to float over any surface. The brainchild of automotive titan, John Z. DeLorean, the vehicle he envisioned took the best the world had to offer and created a car stylish, rugged, and practical, a sports car for a lifetime and a lifestyle. From Italy, he commissioned designers to draft a super-strong body that would anchor the suspension pieces from England's Lotus division. Its rear engine bay would hold the PRV (Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) 2.8 liter, fuel-injected, V-6, engine. The gullwing doors would serve both functional and fashionable duty, making the car unmistakable and timeless. Brushed stainless steel body panels would then fit over the sub-structure to provide unmatched durability and house the soft leather, grey interior. Your DeLorean features the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. It spent all its life garaged and covered and comes with the factory manuals and original documentation. Rarely will you ever have the opportunity to purchase such a low-mileage vehicle, two-owner vehicle, but after a test drive, you'll understand why this DeLorean holds a high place among investors, connoisseurs, and movie lovers everywhere.
