Test drive with a very nice Chevrolet Chevelle 454.
We finally had a good day of warmer weather and dry roads. We haven't done a test drive in over two months. This was to be a "truck day" and when we got to the dealership we were surprised to find this in the showroom and even more surprised when they said we could take it out. Just an awesome car.

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 STK # 1018
Real 1969 Chevelle SS 396 finished in the original Le Mans blue color with black vinyl top and interior. Powered by a 396 big block producing 350 HP and 415 ft/lbs of torque. This car's engine block is a JC suffix code which is correct for a 69 Chevelle SS396 but it did not originally come in this Chevelle. The deluxe SS interior features bucket seats, center console, wood-grain inserts and a factory in-dash tachometer. The wheels are OEM style 5-spoke SS Mags riding on Firestone Wide Oval tires. Very nice solid and clean 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396. Numbers matching 396 engine and M21 Muncie 4-Spd. Car had a frame off restoration early 2008. Engine, transmission and rear end were compeletly gone through and anything that needed replaced was. 12 BOLT rear end with 3.73 gears. Lots of new parts in the engine. New paint and interior. 1971 Chevelle SS 454 4 Speed in Action
Here's a video showing my 1971 Chevelle SS (a real one, not a clone) starting, running, and driving. See my other video about this car to learn the story behind it. I had just taken it out of the garage so the smoke you see as it is idling is condensation from the Exhaust. It has a 468 with aluminum heads and 12:1 compression. Three inch Exhaust flows through Flowmaster mufflers. This is my first attempt a a "moving" video, and will probably make a longer one in the future with more driving footage. For now, you get the idea......
