Sophisticated chassis technology featuring a double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle; Electric Power Steering; Dynamic Damper Control comes as standard; 20-inch light-alloy wheels are standard, carbon wheels are optional. Emotion-led visual impression based around established BMW i design language; classical sports car proportions and fresh interpretation of BMW design features; doors open upwards like wings; clean lines, plus surface design (external and internal) based on the layering principle; full-LED headlights as standard, innovative laser headlights -- unique worldwide -- available as an option. High speed Autobahn and country road Drive with the new 2013 BMW F10 M550d and its world first 6-cylinder Tri-turbo Diesel (381hp, 740Nm) supported by 8-speed ZF and xDrive system. The outcome: Well, its hard to describe. Once you have driven the first meters you instantly feel the weight of the car. It feels comfortable and heavy, almost like a 7-series. At low revs and in comfort mode there is nothing that distinguishes this car from, lets say a 530d. But once you hit sport mode and press the gas all the way through it is just amazing how this big ole bus rockets aways from anything else on the road. I can just tell you, it is all about the torque!!! From 0-100 could have gone quicker but how this car accelerates from 160 - 260 is unrivalled, at least in the diesel class.
