'The fastest taxi driver in the world' alias 'The Queen of the Nürburgring' alias Sabine Schmitz where piloting the e60 BMW M5 around the famous and legendary 20,8 km Nordschleife. BMW Ring Taxi - A Lap With Sabine Schmitz
This is a lap of the "Green Hell" with Sabine Schmitz on the 5th of September 2010. It was great to have Sabine as our driver, and a huge thanks to her and BMW RingTaxi for the thrill of being driven at high speed on a track that takes many years to learn. We had so much fun, and highly recommend it to anyone going to Germany, that likes the Nurburgring, and isn't game enough to bring their own car, or hire a track day car. And we can't help but congratulate Sabine for saying the line "I tell you something, I could do that lap time in a van", which ultimately led to Jeremy Clarkson pretty much being beaten around the 'ring by Sabine in a diesel Ford Transit van. I hope to come back in a few years and do it again! Worth flying from Australia for :)

As part of a Gentleman Drivers Club (http://www.gentlemandriversclub.com/) event at the Nordschleife club members had passenger laps with Sabine Schmitz. On this lap Sabine loses it at high speed through the Pflanzgarten while taking a slick line (she was on road tyres). Multi-Car Crash At The Nürburgring | October 2011

Yesterday around 14:00 in the afternoon, a serious traffic accident happened on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring with a total of eight vehicles involved including the famous BMW M3 Ring Taxi. The accident took place in two phases with drivers from several European countries involved.
The accident was probably caused by speeding. In the section called "Bergwerk" a construction company set up by a construction zone. While most of the drivers realized this, a fourth driver was trying to brake, but could not prevent a side collision with a car driving ahead. The car then hurled into the grass. After 50 meters it came back on the road where it hit two other cars.
The accident situation was recognized by three other drivers and they were able to slow down their cars. Another car, a BMW M3 ring taxi, did not pay attention and crashed against two of the decelerating cars. The ring taxi eventually stopped against the guard rail. Except for one single vehicle, all cars were severely damaged and no longer roadworthy. The estimated damage is more than € 100,000.
