Competitors: Toyota 4Runner, Honda Pilot, Nissan Pathfinder Trims: XLS, XLT, Eddie Bauer, Limited What I have to say about the 2002 Ford Explorer: New notable changed for the Explorer includes a redesigned exterior and interior. Trims range from the base XLS, to the mid level XLT, to the Luxurious Eddie Bauer and Limited. The Explorer also now features more luxury appointments for 2002 as well as good rugged off road looks. Material quality is somewhat good. but not the best. Low resale value is also a major turn off for this SUV. All in all great SUV from Ford, hopefully it can take on the competition from the Japanese brands. Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Camerons-Car-Reviews/349462695066112?ref=hl

Ford Explorer bogging/rough idle
1997 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0 Have already replaced the Coil packs, spark plug wires, and spark plugs. thinking about cleaning the IAC, MAF, and Throttle Body next. I've tried using the Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner to help clear things up thinking that possibly my fuel injectors are dirty, so that's still in the system right now. My driver side catalytic converter (the one with the wrap on it) was just blowing from all seams all the way around. My rear catalytic converter was welded to the frame and has rusted and came off, pulling the corners of the cat with it, leaving huge holes on each back end. It ran great until one night when I filled up at a Turkey Hill nearby. I drove about 40 miles and this is the result. If anyone can help me with this issue that would be amazing. Also, as a side note, obviously I plan on replacing the entire Exhaust system anyhow, due to the tremendous amount of holes and gasket leaks, but would it still be legal for me to delete the rear two cats, leave the front two, and have it come out the side before my rear tire. I live in PA, so let me know if thats within regulations, thanks alot. (those cats are pretty expensive)
