At the Texas Mile, October 2010, Bill Warner of Wild Bros Racing goes 278.6 mph in a standing start mile, on a 650rwhp turbo charged Suzuki Hayabusa Streetbike. On board video taken facing rearward using an AiM Sports SmartyCam with in-video display of GPS speed. This video is a preview of our our full production video, "The Need for Speed: Bonneville Salt Flats", which documents the conception, build and racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats of our 1932 roadster.
We really kicked some butt at Bonneville this year as we set 4 world records in the H/STR class. Our roadster ran 168 mph powered by a 450 hp, 1300 cc
Suzuki Hayabusa engine.
Everyone asks about the color. We got the idea from our drivers SkullCandy headphones, we call it SkullCandy Purple. Watch for updates as we build our second roadster. It will be a 6 cylinder Nissan Skyline which should Dyno near 900 horsepower, We are thinkin' 220? mph.
