Truck Fest 2013: Smokey Big Rigs Burnouts & Drag Racing Revealed
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) When you think of a Big Rig Semi...you probably
don't immediately think of drag racing...or do you? This weekend at
Bandimere Speedway just outside of Denver, Colorado hundreds of Big Rig
Semi trucks lined up on the drag strip to see which one is the kind of the
mile high drag strip and which one is the fastest mile high pickup
dragster. Can a big rig run a sub 20 second quarter mile? You bet. Can a
big rig run a sub 15 mile....no problem. Can a Big Rig run a sub 10 second
time? You'll have to watch the video to find out. In another fun and
informative TFLtruck video we see what happens when the Big Rig Semi Trucks
line up behind the Christmas Tree.

67-68 Cougar Buying Guide: What To Look For
In this video, Don does a detailed inspection on a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7
to show some of the things you should look for when buying one of these
classic cars. Some of the insight here can potentially save you hundreds,
even thousands, when you go to negotiate with a seller. Also, it will help
those of you trying to sell, to more accurately advertise the strengths and
weaknesses of your car.
We've also done a similar video with a 1970 Cougar convertible, so you may
want to check that out too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fizb2vo68vA

The Story Of Cougar 1: The First Mercury Cougar
A while back, we sat down with Jim Pinkerton, the owner of the very first
production Mercury Cougar (1967 model year), a.k.a. Cougar 1. We hit the
"record" button on our cameras and he let loose with an epic tale of how
the car was first sold in Canada, its subsequent life there, and how it
eventually got into his hands - an intriguing story! He also goes over some
of the unique features of the car, and some of the restoration techniques
used. It's a truly beautiful factory show car with more attention to detail
than the 'average' Cougar.
Special thanks to Jim Pinkerton for his time, and for providing most of the
images you see in this video from his own collection of Cougar memorabilia.

1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 Coupe GT 6.5 litre (390 Big Block)
Have had this project for some time now, and don't have the time it
deserves to be put into it. This is a very very rare car. Most of the
Cougars you may find have the 289 ci V8. This car has the 390 big block
-The power is unbelievable.
Back in the day, Ford marketed the Mustang "for the man starting out",
the Mercury Cougar was marketed as for "the man who was on his way". (The
Thunderbird was marketed for "the man who had arrived") Car is
unbelievably powerful, pulls rubber in all 3 gears. I have had the car for
a long time, started it several times every year. But it is time to let it
go to a good home. This is a numbers matching authentic S code 390 Cougar
These are unique and beautiful cars.

1968 Mercury Cougar LED Taillight Comparison.wmv
This is the final chapter in my quest to find the ultimate LED lights for
my 1968 Mercury Cougar. The ones that I'm happy with are part number:
1157-R18-T. They are $18.00 ea., but well worth it, as you can see from
the video. Even outside, these bulbs really are bright! I almost
considered getting their 45 LED light tower bulb (for $25.00 ea), but now,
I'm glad I didn't! The company to get these from, is:
1968 Mercury Cougar Finally back on all 4 new tires!
A video showing my Cougar with the new tires on it, finally off the jack
stands, and on the tires! I got all 4 tires the same size, but it still
looks good! The old tires were way too big on the back, and even smaller
than what is on now, on the front. So, now at least everything is
I also decided to show my other 'old' cars, and what I have to do to them
next, before I start driving them again. My poor Hurst/Olds still has no
engine, or trans. I did make a promise to myself to get that car running
before the car show season starts, so we can take the Cougar, and it to
shows! Hopefully, I can keep my promise!
Muscle Cars, Pianos, and One Rare Cougar
You might not expect to find a collection of gleaming muscle cars in the
back warehouse of a piano shop, but that's just what you'll find at AZ
Piano, owned by Jason Sipe of Phoenix. He is currently restoring an
ultra-rare 1969 Mercury Cougar 428 Cobra Jet, 4-speed, drag pak car with a
power sunroof. Naturally, we had to meet up with Jason while we were in
the area and check out his cars.
