Mercury Cougar - American Muscle Car
An excellent TV show featuring the classic Mercury Cougar. They cover all the classic years, and talk about all the different engines and option packages you could get. Only a couple minor mistakes (they say the that XR-7 package included a 4-speed stick, then show an automatic shifter in one... derrr) but overall a very nice overview of these cars.

Is It Numbers Matching? - Cougar by the Numbers
In this video we delve into the complex topic of decoding tags, date codes, and other numbers to check if your classic Ford / Mercury is "numbers matching," using Don's newly acquired '69 Mercury Cougar XR7 428 Cobra Jet convertible as an example. While we haven't covered the subject 100% in this video (to keep it concise) we think this covers most of the major components and gives you the knowledge you need to figure out what your numbers mean. As mentioned in the video, we highly recommend Marti Auto Works, especially his Tagbook, which made this video possible. Front Suspension & Chassis Upgrades - '68 Cougar / Mustang
In this video, we show some of the ways you can easily stiffen your car's chassis and upgrade your front suspension. Using Andrew's '68 Cougar as a guinea pig, we bolt on, and weld on, some simple parts that will make a big difference in reducing the torsional flex that these front ends are prone to, as well as improving the integrity of the shock towers. Most of the parts mentioned in this video can be found here: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/frsu.html Springs we used: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/c7zz-5310-p.html Rubber Insulators: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/c4dz-5415-a.html Rear seat divider panel (67-68 Cougar): http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/13463-Divider-Rear-Seat-to-Trunk -Coupe-METAL-New-1967-1968-Mercury-Cougar.html See also: 69-70 Cougar panel: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/13464-Divider-Rear-Seat-to-Trunk -Coupe-METAL-New-1969-1970-Mercury-Cougar.html If we forgot to list anything, you should be able to find it on our website! Heater Core Replacement - '69 Cougar
In this episode, we tackle one of the most dreaded jobs for classic car owners: replacing the heater core. On a classic Cougar or Mustang with air conditioning, it's a very involved process. In this case, we use a 1969 Mercury Cougar 428 CJ convertible as a guinea pig. Don walks through how to remove the dash pad and lower dash panel, and how to remove and service the heater box plenum and blower motor assembly. Along the way, he offers several tips on other jobs you should consider tackling while you're in the process. This is a job that we actually recommend you attempt yourself, rather than taking your car to a shop. Not only will you save money, but you will probably be a lot more careful than the average mechanic, and will avoid breaking expensive / irreplaceable parts. The fiberglass heater box itself is very fragile and valuable, and most of the plastic clips for the wiring harness are not reproduced. Most of the parts mentioned in this video can be found in the A/C and Heat sections on our website: http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/airco.html
