5.0 Tuned Port Terrors (3rd Gen Camaro-Firebird)
http://www.StreetShowDriftDrags.com ... 5.0 Liter (305ci) Tuned Port (TPI)
little "torque monsters"... The 1985-92 version 5.0-liter 305ci TPI
F-bodies had many options from the factory that ranged from mild 200hp on
up to the performance 230hp G92 optioned models with 5-speed manual. This
particular black-bird Formula V8 is limited to running a stock 305/5-spd
setup and puts down 213hp at the rear wheels and won the Mid Atlantic Camaro-Mustang Challenge series championship
in 2006 while going up against many other Camaro-Firebird and Mustang models that were putting out
closer to the 230hp (rear wheel) limit for this series (CMC 1)

Custom 1972 Pontiac Firebird - V8 sound!
Jamboolio records a fully restored 1972 Pontiac Firebird with the 350 cid
5.7L V8 engine and a stunning new paint job.
The monstrous hood scoops and huge air vents added to the all black
exterior makes it a very bad-ass looking muscle car beast! The Exhaust sound is pretty awesome too! Enjoy.

My "new" 1991 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Convertible
Here's my 1991 Trans Am convertible that I just bought a few days ago.
It's basically all original (however Exhaust was replaced with the same factory
*LB9 305 5.0 liter Tuned Port Injection engine.
*700r4 transmission (4 speed auto)
*Tan leather interior with factory CD player (wow!)
Needs a tune-up, vibrates pretty hard at idle (any help?)
Needs new drivers side window motor (power everything by the way... except
for some seat adjustments)
And needs some body work (surface rust).
As far as I know... this is one of 3 youtube videos that are about a 91
Trans Am convertible (correct me if I'm wrong)
Only 555 were made for the 91 model year. Who knows how many are left.
Turbo 5.3 3rd gen trans am vs intake/ longtube/ tune 06 GTO
Me and my brother in his GTO screwing around on the highway. We both
started in 3rd gear at around 65 mph. Tires started burning when I hit Boost so I had to lift and shift into
4th, then get back on the gas. Just wanted a baseline run against the GTO,
since it has gone 12.4 @ 114 mph at the strip.
3rd Gen Camaro - Fox-Body Mustang (the good, bad and the ugly)
Most car guys don't know the difference between the 230hp G92 optioned
models, or the 5-speed and automatic models, or the 170hp lackluster TBI
versions (not to be confused with TPI versions)... Mustang guys smoke the 170hp TBI
models, as well as the "run of the mill" TPI automatic models, and believe
they can do this to any and all. Well, not all 3rd Gen F-bodies are created
equal. Optioned from the factory with the 230hp TPI (not TBI) engine,
manual 5-speed tranny and 3.42 gears, these 3rd Gen F-body sleepers gave
5.0 Mustangs absolute hell.
In 1990 the G92 option code became a full performance package rather than
simply a rear axle option as in previous model years... GM also offered an
answer to the Saleen Mustangs by way of option 1LE, which
consisted of the G92 optioned without A/C and other creature comforts, and
the addition of Corvette brakes and other road racing equipment.
About the only way an IROC-Z Camaro could take out a 5.0L Mustang from this era was with
the Tuned Port Induction and addition of these performance options: G92,
1LE, L98 or B4C.
The TBI powered Camaro
were not at all in the same league as the performance version TPI Camaro, or 5.0 Mustang, these 170hp TBI models were
GM's economy de-tuned versions and were around 50-60 less horsepower versus the
performance optioned TPI models. These non-performing models gave the 3rd
Gen F-bodies a bad rep on the street... many think that these were the
example of 3rd Gen F-bodies, when in fact, and unlike Ford, GM offered many
models, with many engines, camshafts and rear-gear ratios...
